Ultimately all this discussion is moot.
The only relevant thing is that Jeff Shi was too cowardly to inform the team what was happening, and waited until the end of the season to do it. I bet he was secretly hoping they didn't finish in the promotion places too the prick so he didn't get any more seriously bad press.

I’d love to know what this ‘substantial financial contribution’ is. Surely can’t be millions!E&S covering this now.
clubs also need to put together an application by February for a 'Tier 2 licence', which requires a substantial financial contribution to meet the promotion requirements around the ground, infrastructure and staffing, among a number of other requirements.
The Express & Star understands that Wolves could not commit to the cost of the application amid fears the men's first team could be relegated.
whatever the reasons, right or wrong, the moment they made the decision that should have been announced to all involved.
You can't tell some people that because they don't want to listen. Shi is their scapegoat for everything. It's understandable given some of his fuck ups but it seems some people would rather play the blame game to justify their feelings rather than wait to have an informed opinion. Just as Shi / Fosun were rightly blamed for our dreadful start to the season, they are never credited with taking action to correct matters. Today's culture I guess. And no, this isn't a wind up attempt. Just a difference in opinion between me and those who were throwing accusations out before more facts were known. Sure, it's a PR disaster but the women will be playing next season in the league they wouldn't have been promoted from anyway. Hopefully lessons have been learned and everyone has a successful season next season. I'm done with this issue. Life moves on.The decision was made by the management team to not tell the players according to The Athletic.
Would be interesting if they were consistent and didn’t do anything they disagreed with. Load of rubbish
In Shi’s defence if he has told the management then it is up to them to then tell the players. The decision was made by the management team to not tell the players according to The Athletic.
And yet weirdly there is a strange kinda inverse paradigm adopted by some in that rather than take the word of those directly impacted by a decision (in this case Wolves Women) they will cling to an unsubstantiated report to justify their own belief systems...
Agree with Shi being a liar.Jeff Shi is a liar.
How do I know this? By his own words and actions whereby he is on record as saying one thing only to contradict that position several months down the line, when I guess he believes no one will pick him up on it?
So in this instance we now have the club feeding a journalist a version of events that absolves Shi and scapegoats the Wolves Women's management.
Shi is the one that made the decision, just own it, don't try and weasel out of it by blaming others. He should have been communicating this himself.
