0 points out of 6 against Arsenal is very unfair. But if we had attacked instead of defending we might have got a better reward. Tonight Raul surely had to score & the game was virtually over. Unusually Sa had a fairly poor game tonight - I do not like time wasting from any team & he was prominent.

Poor subs didn't help. Pod did next to nothing after 25 minutes and Raul was poor most of the game. How both were still on at 85 minutes I've no idea. Guess Semedo injury didn't help but nevertheless it felt like we were playing with 9 men.

Far too predictable with wingbacks threading the ball down the line time and again and Arsenal winning it back time and again. Disappointing but at least Neves didn't get a yellow and I bet on the draw, cashed out and then won on them winning.

Started well. Then went too defensive too early.

Got to work on beating the press better than that and the front 3 have to keep the ball better. Got to stop this paining operatives into our own corners then boring it upfield for Raul to lose. It's a fucking shit tactic.

Hwang was rubbish apart from his goal. Raul should've scored from his first chance. Sa had a bad game tonight.

Pod was very good and we should be getting it to his feet more.

Disappointed to lose to that shower of shit and Martin Atkinson, Kevin Friend and the two twats running the line were fucking terrible. Worst officiating I've seen this season.

RAN MotM, his running and distribution were excellent.

I agree with all that but RAN looked a bit tired at times then suddenly woke up, then went tired again.

Semedo’s injury was quite pivotal with the benefit of hindsight.

Raul was fucking useless. I might have imagined it, but I swear he was good at holding the ball up before? Didn’t win a single aerial ball, didn’t hold it into feet and was second to every ball up top. This isn’t the first time either

Wow, some what i feel are very harsh verdicts here.

Often it's not a choice to defend, but it's because of the opposition. They made good subs, had the emphasis and had the crowd (and the ref) with them.

Quick note on the ref, i'm not blaming him for the result but i feel he made some decisions that rattled us and were just varying levels of abysmal:

• Gave offside for a goal kick, not just him, but the linesman too. Unbelievable.
• Hwang gets elbowed in the face, no stoppage, no acknowledgment of the knock, just play on. He was literally holding his face after being elbowed in it.
• Coady clean through on goal, oh no, a mystery touch that leads to White falling, Atkinson buys it, a huge chance for us there, an absolutely appalling decision.
• He books Raul for refusing to go off, when he isn't the player who is being subbed, it was this one that i felt really got under our skin.
• Neto clear deflection on his shot that went for a corner, but no, a goal kick
• Hwang plays it off Saka, oh no, it's a corner instead.

All of these things change the emphasis of the game, and more than likely mean we get at least a point.

Disappointing performance. They played well but I actually think we’re vulnerable we just didn’t have any intent to expose that. Only positives I can take are Jonny and Pedro getting some more minutes.

we aren’t good enough to just defend like that for 70 minutes. Sa can’t save everything every game. Big game on Sunday!

RAN was good going forward, but both goals down his side. He looked knackered after an hour (said as much in the matchday thread), but for their first he lost the run and then got on the wrong side of his man.

Fine lines but he’s had a large hand in both goals there.
