Man arrested for Racism

Ireland playing Hungary tonight in Budapest in front of a full house.
Ireland team took the knee and were massively booed by the crowd.
Hungary team chose to stand, their captain did point to the respect badge on his arm when the booing started but he was pissing in the wind.

Will be an ongoing issue during the Euros.
Hungary fans more than likely booing the Marxist group that will take over the world 😒

This really is worth a watch, this guy is an England fan ambassador

Sounded like appeasement to me.

Basically "I've heard what the Manager and all the players have said but I don't believe them because I'm a massive racist"

So to paraphrase the players, manager and FA have to say what it is that they are supporting, there is a lack of communication. Comical Ali territory

I actually vaguely respect the honest racists, ať least 3% of them are up front about it

"So I hope people accept that people can have genuine reasons why they don't support taking the knee. And it doesn't make them racists."

61 (35%) of the 172 responders said they did not want to support 'Taking the Knee' because: - 'I associate taking the knee with BLM and I don't like a part of what they stand for'.

5 (2.9%) of the 172 responders
said they did not want to support 'Taking the Knee' because - 'I do not like people of BME background'

Well there's some racist right there...

As Glasgowwolf illustrated, I think some people have been conned into booing the knee because they don't like BLM rather than being racists.

Despite the message that the knee is nothing about BLM anymore.

I put it down to ignorance, rather than malice.

I mean, it is related to BLM though. The issue is that "BLM" is a slogan, not an organisation - it's not even as coherent as that other boogeyman, antifa (which at least rises to the level of a tactic).

But then the right have spent decades pointing at people on the edges of diverse grassroots movements, shouting "look at this nutter!", and letting the universal human instinct to not question things we already agree with to do the rest.

The FA and the England manager may *think* its not in support of a political agenda, but Glasgow Wolf knows better, obviously
