Tested positive for Covid so not playing tonight.

Not the point of the thread though. Why do some of our fans hate him so much!? What has he done wrong?

He gets a lot of disproportionate abuse on social media.

He does get a lot of stick and some of it is wholly unfair and people tagging him and abusing him are fucking idiots.

At the same time he does himself no favours whatsoever with some of the stuff he posts and "likes"

Not sure, it's stretched back to the second half of the 18-19 season so it's not because of his misdemeanor last year when he went to London.

The same people on his back will be the same ones who were foaming at the mouth when he didn't start at Newcastle away that time! I take no notice. I just want him to fulfil his potential, that he so clearly has.

He's young and active on social media. That is the problem. He's a very good player and he can get better with us, as long as Nuno wants him to.

There’s a lot of fucktards on social media who need someone to shout at to get their attention fix. He’s the current one unfortunately.

I think it really intensified when he met his other half and she hasn't shied away from standing up for herself at times. He also wears his individuality on his sleeve with how he dresses and I think that attracts this notion hes some Billy big bollocks who hasn't made it yet. Same nonsense that used to get leveled at Hause being more interested in his music career not so long ago.

In answer to your question - no idea. If he passes it on to a load of the squad and we are weakened against Chelsea it will go up a notch that's for certain.

Local lad, done well for himself, same age as the Twitter pricks. Just jealousy

21 today - Happy birthday Morgan.

In an ideal world we would send him back to Swansea for the rest of the season as he was playing well and getting some good experience. Doesn't look like it will happen unless we get a few more back ourselves.

Happy birthday to him!

Yeah be interesting to see if the reason for bringing him back was similar to Cutrone situation, covering ourselves. Once Podence is back fit, if we could add another wide option I'd be happy for him to go on loan as he needs the games

agree with that - he’s got real potential and is at an age where he needs games - hopefully he can get them with us, but if not then he needs to go on loan and get them.

With 3-4-3 looking to be the formation at least in the short term there’s no point keeping him here.

4th/5th choice forward, 5th/6th choice CM and if we do go to a 4 then that will probably coincide with injured players coming back and he’s 3rd choice at best there again.

Send him back to Swans and let’s stick to the original plan.

I’d still have him in as the breaking midfielder in a 3, personally - neves and Donk sitting, MGW in when we defend but breaking forward when we have the ball.

I thought MGW played well in the first half of the Everton away game though didn't seem to have a much positive impact. Many times, in both halves, his first touch seemed to let him down so that he had to stretch to play the ball. This resulted in a poor passes and losses of possession that could have been avoided. I hope it something he can improve over the summer.

That affects most of our players, particularly Traore who doesn't have the best first touch.

He's a decent player, but we are not giving him the opportunity to play in his best position, nor can I see us doing so moving forwards. If he can't get a run in the team in his favoured position now when we have 5/6 people out, he never will.

I reckon we'll cash in on him. He's already proven that he can do well in a side that play to his strengths from his time at Swansea.

Did he not play in his favoured position last night?

I thought so, just he didn't have much around him. I'll say again, thought we played quite well, first half especially, pressed as well as we ever have. Just not getting the goal our play deserved, goal knocked the stuffing out of us for 10-15 minutes but ok after that.
