I used to go up there a fair bit back in the late 80's and always enjoyed it. Only had one bit of bother that fizzled away very quickly due to my unique blend of charm and good looks. Ahem. Having said that I preferred Chester a lot more, more homely and better for pulling.

My runner beans are flowering late but already had a fairly decent first crop from them. The broad beans have been thunderously good and had some peas but nothing like as good as last year. Spuds have been a bit disappointing too.

Must be me then, I've never noticed it. Nah, just down the hill. Should be good weather for a nice walk round though.
