Beer

At long last!
Went up north to get my monthly supply of beer and lo and behold!
Some great brewery has started selling lovely beer in A PINT TIN!
And more interestingly it's 'Hobgoblin Gold Beer' and I never knew that little nice pint was brewed in Wolverhampton!
Why on earth Don't Wolves adopt it as 'The Official Beer of The Wolves!'
Possibly because you can't have beer on your shirt or around the ground??
Probably because it’s shit.

It’s also from Wolverhampton as much as Matt Doherty is.

They (Carlsberg) are also closing the brewery in Wolves come next season, so there's that too.

Re Wetherspoons, With many pubs in Dublin charging €6 to €11 a pint I can go into my favourite Spoons sit by the window overlooking Dun Laoire and Dublin Bay and have a good craft ale for €2.50 followed by a (small but) well done fish and chips for a tenner.
Craft?

Decided against the One World Observatory trip today and have taken refuge in a bar.

Asked where i will be and the joke "I will be within spitting distance" was met with the usual look of confusion and despair...

It was fine. Sat at the bar, had a few drinks watched some sport and left. Was fairly quiet

Not surprised the one in York is closing as it's completely outside of the main footfall area.

Didn't even know there was one in the City until I happened to stumble across it on a walk (I didn't go in).

That used to be the strategy and part of the punk (🤪) ethos.

Open the sites out of the main stream and in areas that are cheaper and people will come anyway. Keep them small and cheap.

Since they’ve commercialised everything and opened mega pubs like Waterloo or in shopping centres, it’s no wonder there is a disconnect between the operations.

I was part of some of opening some of those that are closing 10 years ago, and it’s nice to see they haven’t improved their staff treatment during that time.
