Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

We voted for members of the European parliament.
We were a major player with the power of veto over decisions.
We had a trade deal through block trading and we are now on the outside with reams of red tape to plow through to export.
We created our own Laws (and still do), there was no issue with "sovereignty"
We had, and still have our own border force
From Wikipedia

Currently, there is one member per member state, but members are bound by their oath of office to represent the general interest of the EU as a whole rather than their home state.

Taking back control

Taking the piss.

It's a bit rich to talk about leaving the EU for corruption when most of the leaves campaign was based on lies.

I remember the fucking red bus and farages words the morning after.

And the lies about England would be hit a lot harder than we have been? I could write pages about EU corruption, but I don't actually hate the EU, I just didn't want to be a part of it.
The inability to call out EU corruption, or criticise the lack of accountability of the EU by Remainers is laughable. I can say that Brexit hasn't done everything I wanted and some of the politicians who represented Brexit are cunts, but Remainers never admiit that Brexit wasn't anywhere as catastrophic as they were preaching. It is that inability to ever be wrong and call anyone who disagree with them morons, or stupid which says more about a very small minority of Remainers, than anything else does.

No one is saying the EU is without fault, for me when all is considered we're better off being in the EU than outside of it, mainly for economic reasons. Picking and choosing certain things you like and don't like misses out the bigger picture - otherwise you cut your nose off to spite your face.

Brexit has meant our economy has grown slower than it should have, which means tax receipts are lower than they should have been, which means the amount of funding available for public services is less than it should have been. And so yet again the poorest in society get hit the hardest. How has Brexit benefited these people? How about the fishing communities that have been fucked over? There is a catalogue of real impacts to people who are worse off as a result of Brexit, so yes, anyone who doesn't think Brexit has had a negative impact on real people's lives will continue to be a moron in my eyes.

Germany doesn't have Brexit as an excuse for nearly 2 years of recession.

Nothing to do with what I'm saying.

There are demonstrable negative impacts to people in this country which have a direct cause linked to Brexit.

Can you provide an equivalent of how Brexit has improved / enriched / some how tangibly made better?

The problems in the UK started before Brexit and those problems were not addressed and still haven’t been and are probably more responsible for why Brexit happened than anything else.

It is though. You are blaming things on Brexit and Germany, which is in the EU has been in recession for nearly 2 years. They blame it on Covid and Ukraine, you blame our problems, which haven't been as bad as Germany's on Brexit. Our economy has been doing better than the EU's strongest economy.

Im not saying the EU is some mystical place of eternal unicorns and rainbows. The argument that "well Germany are in recession and they didn't Brexit so Brexit must be fine" is ridiculous and misses out huge amounts of nuance and factors in the German economy.

I have never said all our problems are caused by Brexit either.
