How often is it a relatively small matter that brings people down? This isn’t going away and eventually the Met will have to investigate and when they do there will be plenty of people that when questioned would rather tell the truth than pervert the course of justice. The net is tightening and not before time.
 
The Met are saying they don't investigate covid related breaches retrospectively, which is a novel way of approaching it.
Presumably the Minority Report precogs are coming soon..?

Or Nixon. Nothing like a good cover-up to prove beyond doubt you're a crook. They seem to be trying the Trump approach of deny everything and keep on denying it. With others going to court for lesser breaches of Covid rules surely it will reach a point that the Met have to investigate.
 
Well if there are any Tories with an ounce of moral fibre now is their time to show it. Johnson has gone from having electoral stardust to becoming a liability and that's the point at which heads start poking above the parapet. Tomorrow should be entertaining.
 
They won't, way too many riding on his coat tails. Public discourse is the only thing which will make a difference with an 80 seat majority, just as it did with Thatcher
