Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

No they don't. Unfortunately, military might supersedes political idealism. Being the biggest trading block, but depending on China for resources and the US for military protection, was always going to end up in failure.

Yes they do!

A small example where I have worked is resource rich Gabon. All of the following were recently competing for influence and resources. The EU, China, India, Russia and the USA.

But, which was the biggest player? The EU.

Oh dear and just to tease as your last point can happen at every level in society:

1. ´The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is 18 local authorities, including Birmingham City Council and four Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) including Greater Birmingham & Solihull LEP, working together to move powers from Whitehall to the West Midlands. Individual councils will still deliver services and retain their identity, but on the big decisions the WMCA will have the resources to work together.´

My tease based on your comment about the EU layer in representation and government:

´I hope the WMCA continues, but by continuously interfering in local council elections, it is making more enemies than friends. Trying to suppress parties that are opposed to WMCA idealism, instead of listening to the concern of its citizens, opposed to WMCA idealism is only going to end up one way.´

You could also swap the ´EU´ and ´WMCA´ with ´The Mayor for the West Midlands, Richard Parker´.

2. Alternatively, and on a different level:

´I hope the UK continues, but by continuously interfering in national elections, it is making more enemies than friends. Trying to suppress parties that are opposed to UK idealism, instead of listening to the concern of its citizens, opposed to UK idealism is only going to end up one way.´

;);)

When Europe's strongest economy has been in recession for nearly 2 years, maybe you should ask why, instead of concentrating on the UK, which is now out of the EU?

A sense of humour in 🇩🇪 Germany. Lol.

You actually said that "there is corruption in the EU and interference in election" as though it only happens there. That shows it happens in the UK, post brexit!

Just putting the other side of the discussion...

i was replying to Wellen, who said we wanted to leave the EU because the EU wanted to control corruption using Italy and France examples of not so corrupt countries. He was wrong, so I pointed it out.

Que, que?

I never said Italy and France were ´not so corrupt´! LOL.

You’ll be getting told you’re wrong at some point by someone who knows nothing about what you do, but you’re doing it wrong, and will Chuck some irrelevant graphs in to prove it

Yep.
It´s interesting that on chat pages like this one that most of us have no idea about the experience and qualifications of others yet vague statements lifted from the Red Tops, Reform and assorted loonies are assumed to trump our areas of expertise.

Are you saying the reason Germany is in recession is because they're in the EU?

Why are you still bothering?

I agree with this. We have Brexit, in whatever shape or form and very few people have it at their top of their list anymore. I don't know one person in the general public who brings it up anymore. Like or loathe it, it is here to stay. I think they even know that in Leeds. Lol.

Whether it could be called 'corruption' would be up to others to decide but it's fair to say mis-spend during the covid period was off the scale in some notable cases linked to the government in power at the time.

Lots of chatter that Boris is looking to make a comeback. He’s like the turd that won’t flush. The Tories are that desperate it wouldn’t surprise me, even with all the hurdles he’d face.

The use of the “VIP lane”, which gave high priority to companies with political connections and awarded them £3.8bn PPE contracts?

Would be appalling as he's an idle cunt who millions of people now actively hate, so happy for them to try to roll back the 'glory' days.
