Dominant for 45 mins - if we had continued then this could well have been the game we destroyed someone.

Took our foot off the pedal in the second so made it more difficult than it needed to be.

Still a win so can't be unhappy with that. We are learning how to deal with the PL & Europe at the same time.

Happy days. But we should have won that a lot more comfortably.

Points in the bag, win in the book.

Fuck off Bournemouth.

Should have been 3. Lino fucked up. If that had counted we would have been so much more comfortable. But up to fifth.

We lost in the carabao so not 13 in all .

That table is looking rather sexual as we had a "bad start".

Nice draw between t'Blades and Manchester United would be ace tomorrow.

Made hard work of it; the goal should have stood but I don't understand how we ceded control so quickly in the second half.

Excellent performance, even if we did allow them back into it a bit in the 2nd half. Just came down to giving them needless free kicks in silly areas for me, it wasn't like they were completely dominant and were creating chances left and right, we were just a bit naïve.

First half was exceptional though. Neves and Moutinho controlled the game, the back 3 were assured and Jota & Adama had them shit scared all game.

Roll on Braga away!

Always good to beat those cheating wankers and that smug bastard and I think it could have easily been by five or six. The fluidity in midfield is something else, Jiminez looks a steal and Moutinho just floats and pokes he is truly majestic and I am finally over the lost promise of Chris Marsden. Jota looked very sharp and will bag a few before season end. Yes, Bournemouth had a good spell but so what ...

MoM Moutinho

Talk about a Jekyll and Hyde performance. We looked invincible in the first half, insipid in the second. A class above Bournemouth, though, and real quality displayed from everyone at times. Hard to imagine how both teams started the day on the same points? Fifth place – is that a new high (early-season nonsense excepted)?

Why does VAR check if a goal should be disallowed but not for a goal to be allowed ??

majestic first half, very uncomfortable second. ridiculous decision on the goal, isnt the whole idea of VAR to eliminate these type of errors, not create new ones?? perhaps the fucking lino delays his decision and then use the fucking VAR to decide? its getting ridiculous, we seem to lose a goal every single match due to shit refereeing/var

Never going to complain (much) after a win - we did deserve it, let's not get it mixed up here - especially away, and especially after an international break. First half was like we'd been in rhythm for a few weeks, absolutely excellent.

Should've put them away though. Even without Jota's that was wrongly chalked off, should've put them away. Bad, sloppy goal to concede (someone should get a rollicking for arranging the defence so that Jonny was marking Cook, he absolutely could not cope with him) and it pushed them to get in our faces more and ask more questions, which when we've got, ultimately, a makeshift backline, is always going to rock the boat a bit. Could've been a lot more comfortable, but they did what they had to.

Take the Southampton and Newcastle games and turn those to wins and we're right in the top 4 race. We still might be, if we can keep some consistency. AND we're looking good in Europe. Forget the 90 minutes that have just happened, and tell yourself from 3 years ago where we are right now. We are still very much on the up.

Bournemouth are still an absolute disgrace. Diving all over the place (Smith in the first half especially pulled out a shocker - went unpunished), Billing should have gone before Francis deservedly did. Horrible team and Ryan Fraser is a complete wanker. Wise up, referees. He dives.

Scandalous from Hooper to blow on the offside. That kills anything off.

We were unreal in the first half. The best we've kept the ball all season by a distance, it was genuinely like one of our Championship games where all 11 of our players are miles better than all 11 of theirs.

Ok, the second half wasn't brilliant. But ultimately they've had an OG and then a volley hit straight at Rui. Big deal.

5th in the bloody league.

Good job Nuno had a "good, hard long look at himself".

Also we're going to be on near the end of MotD before people start moaning, if you don't know how they arrange the games by now you should do

We are in an unreal place from where we were a few years ago - but no reason why we cannot move on up from here & challenge for the top 4

Oh and Kilman will now play vs Sheff Utd. Not bothered about that but if Saiss could stop getting booked for nothing fouls please!

Didn't see it, but sounded as if he got unlucky given some of the fouls from Bournemouth which weren't punished.

Was basically the first foul in the game.

Probably was a yellow.

There isn't, but equally if you look at the goal difference of the top 4 compared to ours the difference is stark. Would've been nice for us to do what Leicester did to Southampton, but que sera.
