I'm struggling to get my head around why we didn't start with the same team as we did against Chelsea. Marcal looks so solid everytime he's played, apart from Semedo. I'd like to see Hoever play there. Not in a million years are we going to be in Europe next season. Good for Silva to get on the scoresheet. It was brave of him to step up for the penalty. Beat Chelsea, lose to Burnley. FFS...

I agree with all this but would've started with Vitinha in behind Pod/ Neto so he could pick a pass.

Neves and Moutinho can't play together at the moment they want to occupy the same space all the time.

Why Nuno wanted Otasowie to play ACM I'll never know, he's a ball wining midfielder.

I thought Saiss should've been hooked at HT, it was an appalling performance from him.

Pleased for Fabio but he just isn't ready yet. We need a striker in Jan.

This one's on Nuno, he got this wrong at HT, we should've won the game second half but he changed nothing when it wasn't working. That's piss poor.

Completely agree on your last line in particular. So often we come out the second half with the right answer, this time we were way off. Silva needed to come on HT for me, or at least Adama.

Delighted for Silva but apart from that it was utter shite. Pathetic defending all round for both goals.

Burnley are a shit team with shit tactics and a shit manager yet we struggled to create anything. I love Nuno but I am finding it difficult to get my head around some of his decisions at the moment. The line up looked like it wasn’t going to work right from the start.

Can somebody also tell him to stop with the short corners. They are abysmal.

Must have really pissed Nuno off. He did come on the field before the second half to say something to the ref. Probably didn't call him a cunt, but maybe should have.

It was a bad team performance no doubt, but at least Owen, RAN, Vitinha and Silva (and even Max) have inexperience on their side. Expect much better of Rui, Saiss, Coady, Neves, Moutinho and Pod.

Well that was all a bit desperate wasn't it?
Apart from the first 15 and last 10 we looked very ordinary. I'm usually happy whatever Nuno decides but was concerned with that line-up from the start and we looked disjointed going forward and weak at the back.
We didn't lose that because of shithouse tactics but because weren't very good, although Burnley get away with so many cynical fouls.
Obviously the one highlight was Fabio's goal. Thought the lad showed a lot of bollocks taking it on and he finished it really well.
Oh well just have to win the next 2 to wipe that taste from my mouth

Short corners. Send your big men up then make them have to run back having not even put the ball into the box. Coady should give a bollocking to whoever plays it short.

Bit naughty by Nuno if true, very unlike him. Yes he let them get away with a lot of shit and seemed to penalise ours over the top but not much different to any others, we've had worse.
