General Wolves News

well, seems as if Vitor has demanded more control over signings and Jeff has bowed to that but seems incredibly short sighted to me
Vitor and Jorge (well his mate) is pretty much recreating Nuno &, Jorge until Jeff's ego trip killed it.

Looks like it. All seems a bit odd to me.
It's quite simple. We're going back to relying on Uncle Jorge, and Vitor has obviously bought into this. Jackson has been promised a pay-rise and promotion if he plays ball with the new structure.

Therefore Hobbs is seen as unnecessary and they've probably been looking for an excuse to get rid after his behaviour towards officials in recent seasons.

Hopefully it doesn't affect our existing scouting network, particularly in South America.

Good news.

Hobbs is the ultimate chancer - found himself in a role that is completely out of his depth.

Thumbs up from me.

'Hobbs had been working on several deals but Jackson will now oversee negotiations over the summer period'

In the short term this is a worry for me. Are we to take that to mean we're back at square 1 for the window?

If the Mendes crew are involved I wouldn't think so

It’s only been open two days.

Relax.

I think that's why it seems so weird!
Or he's been told by those above him that he knows nowt and needs to stay in his lane (he must be good at something).

Fosun know fuck all about football but even they can draw a straight line between letting him do whatever he wants and us getting into trouble, more than once.

As negotiations are for everything i wonder if the final straw for Hobbs was a shit attempt at getting Semedo and RAN to sign up after Vitor said they need to stay

The shit thing about over promoting Hobbs is that we are now about to lose a very good scout who has created a decent network in South America and brought in some decent value players from there too.
Perhaps, but Wrigglesworth has always had a good reputation back from his Leicester days and he will have had an influence in those signings too (he definitely did for Mosquera for example)

He has and that will get lost in the noise but hopefully the team he has built in that area continue the work without him.

I don't think going back to "we don't need a SD, we've got Gestifute" is a good thing. We know how that worked out last time.

Not going to mourn the loss of Hobbs though, was happy to say yes to whatever whims the club put out as long as he was allowed to keep playing with his South American scouting reports.
