Keir Starmer at it again..

this is a dumb fuck idea, promoted by bankers/investors only. Suspect ML is correct.
A number of building societies in particular have also said it will hamper their ability to provide affordable mortgage lending.
It's another policy that will only benefit the already rich.
Absolutely, and the communication of how and why will of course be absolutely awful again.

Its just something that doesn't need any attention, and will create a huge uproar.

I haven't got that far yet. I mean, in comparison the the previous repeat tory sit shows, This lot are not as blatantly corrupt, or as contemptuous of the populace.
That is not to say I am happy with everything they have done, far from it.
Instead of regular rage, under this government i experience bouts of sadness, alongside occasional bouts of hope.
My expectations were slightly higher than "not quite as bad as the Tories".

They're doing things that are the absolute antithesis of what a Labour government should be doing. Moreover, they're doing it in such a ham fisted, politically inept fashion, it's actually embarrassing. The priorities, the lies, the terrible communications of even worse political choices...there's been so much wrong, and not a single external force to blame for it. Whoopido, foreign leaders think he's alright as conduit between common sense and Donald Trump, not that it's actually achieving anything.

It's 'tough decisions' that only ever seem to fuck the vulnerable over. Pushing desperate people into poverty, pulling the drawbridge up on vital benefits so that somebody who has an accident tomorrow won't have the same help as somebody that had an accident yesterday. Punching down and fiddling around the edges to 'save' sums of money that a; are fuck all in the scheme of total expenditure, and b; will come with hidden costs (financial and people's health) that left out of impact reports, if they ever come. Training IDF troops on our soil. Mealy mouthed statements on war-crimes, but consequential action.

What good have they achieved? VAT on private school, fair enough. Some improvement on public sector pay is welcome. They might have some stats that show marginal improvements in certain waiting times, though that doesn't seem to be reflected by experiences on the ground.

They've mugged us off, completely.

Can kicked down the road again, we are doomed to never ever achieve anything other than decline in this country.

The bill and proposals were a total mess but we do need to look at how we can help people get into work.

I need to look into it really but by the looks there's very little left of what was in the initial bill, the result being that they've somehow managed to piss everybody off on all sides of the argument and not even save money.
Well at least the adults are back in the room

The NMW needs to be higher; if a couple on that were afforded a reasonable quality of life then I think then whatever small amount of people are gaming the system, would be far less likely to. But they won't do that because businesses will cry

If you want to address the welfare bill, you simply have to cut benefits available for the over 60's.
No party wants to do this, because the over 60's vote, in numbers. Look at the uproar over winter fuel payments FFS.
Yet 65% of the welfare bill goes on benefits for the over 60s.
