Man arrested for Racism

Bloke behind me last night kept calling Hwang "Charlie" anytime he did anything good, bad or indifferent.

When Seol played for us and lost the ball (happened quite a lot) some twat who I couldn't quite locate in the BWU would shout "what do you chink you're doing". Every time.

Fucking yikes.

Seems the same lad got hit with a separate charge, with the racism trial to follow.

You can't say nothing these days.

He sounds like a lovely chap. That conviction is enough for a life ban from the club.

Lucky it wasn't lifetime as Pad says, and a spell of community service on top.

Think this thread is probably the correct place - the first episode of Empire State of Mind by Sathnam Sanghera was shown on Saturday. Starts off by looking at his time growing up in Wolverhampton and how it perhaps hasn’t changed as much as we would like to think it has. Quite depressing really.

Trial take a week? Surely it should take 10 minutes?

The worst defence I've seen since Jack Robinson and Matt Doherty were in the same team.

"Yeah Dad, I'm calling you a monkey"

"What the fuck are you on about, son?"

So this was his Facebook profile picture at one point, he seems to have rowed back on that quite a lot according to the report.
Almost like he’s trying to be a tough guy on the internet

The jury in this case has been discharged for legal reasons.
It’s going to a retrial at a later date according to the BBC website.

What sort of legal reasons would cause a discharge? Finding out half the jurors were Albion fans?

Could be some mook leaking stuff on social media. Quite a lot of reasons.

It's fine though, it just hangs over him for ages longer and so he's stuck in limbo where presumably no-one wants to employ him. I don't like wishing ill on folk, but people like that are an exception.

I’d go with the social media thing, it’s probably some knob on instagram with a selfie in the court
