"As a result of the travelling restrictions between Spain and Italy imposed yesterday by the Spanish authorities, the following UEFA Europa League Round of 16 matches will not take place as scheduled tomorrow, 12 March 2020.

• Sevilla FC (Spain) – AS Roma (Italy)
• FC Internazionale (Italy) – Getafe CF (Spain)

Further decisions on the two matches will be communicated in due course."
 
I think the government should put all games behind closed doors from this weekend and insist on Sky putting the games on live together with the BBC so people can watch them. It would lift the mood considerably. Given the money in football it wouldn't break the bank.

And remove the ban on using the [PA to play stuff during live play . If youre playing behind closed doors used the PA system to play the noise of a crowd. Give it some atmosphere even if noone is there. We have the technology.

Rather them just postpone games.

Football without fans there is nothing!

If the Premier League/Football League etc decide to have games go ahead behind closed doors rather than postpone them it just proves what everybody already knows....they don't give a fuck about supporters who go and watch their team (or small/medium size clubs) its all about tv companies and armchair numpties.
 
Fans aren't just those sitting in the stadium for any given match.

It's a shit situation, but I'd rather be able to watch a game on a stream than have no game at all for the foreseeable future, and I'm a season ticket holder.
 
Said this yesterday, but shut everything down for a month and see where we are at. Push the Euros to 2021
 
They'll try finish the season by playing games behind closed doors - If they had to stop playing they'd have to void everything - there's no way they could finish the season "as things stand" as you'd have teams like Bournemouth staying up with all the big teams left to play and teams going down who've already played them all twice creating an unfair competition - the same reason they couldn't change any VAR rules mid way through a season, too much money is on the line for teams who may stay up/go down because of it.
 
Agreed which is why you extend the season by a month and move the Euros back a year. I'd rather have no football for a 4/6 weeks than games behind closed doors

Don't think anyone's seriously suggesting they just stop and call the season complete.

Need to just postpone it, if it means postponing Euro's till next year so be it.

They are - on another forum I have seen the majority of people on a poll say that if needs be we call the season in it's current position order and award everyone a point for remaining fixtures.
 
Eh, I don't mind games behind closed doors, to be honest. It's only the tail end of the season - it's gonna be a bit weird but we're only talking two months of it, maybe a little more with extensions. But then I rarely get to ever go to any games so for me watching on stream from far away is the default!
 
Looks like La Liga season has been suspended, so they are pushing out their season.


Looks like that is down in part to the whole of the Real Madrid club going into self isolation after a RM Basketball player tested positive

Talk of ST holders watching these games via the club's website......yeah good luck with that, what with past streaming experience.
 
Lots of reports that the Europa and Champions Leagues could be about to be suspended, after La Liga announced it was being suspended for at least the next two matchdays.

Hard not to see the various top league seasons overspilling into the Euros now.
