The Goggle Box Thread

Just cried after watching an episode of Andor. It's just on a totally different level.

Found a hidden gem on Netflix that me and the kid are absolutely rattling through called Stranger Things. Think it could catch on.

The Bear is quite good if anyone is stuck for a series

I did wonder how they'd make 4 seasons of it at first, but am enjoying it. You can really feel the pressure and I think the lead guy plays it really well - always looks fucked!

Been watching Ridley past week or so. Okish detective drama about retired detective Alex Ridley (Adrian Dunbar) who is brought out of retirement to help his colleagues solve a case on a consultancy basis. Every subsequent episode/story they bring him in again to help solve the cases.

Ridley is quite a dull fellow who lives alone in an impressive lodge on the banks of a lake and co-owns a gloomy jazz bar with Julie Graham where he rocks up each episode to sing a gloomy jazz song

Bloody hell if getting banned on here gets you your own TV show, where do I sign up?

Just watched the Christmas episode, part of season 2

Brilliant. Kinda tough to watch without ruining it. And hits home a little bit. Jamie Lee Curtis is great in it

Watching King and Conqueror and all I can say is, what a load of bollocks!

The timeline is all over the place, people dying who lived 20 years past 1066, people being killed who died naturally and it’s just a complete mess.

Don’t bother with it if you want anything vaguely, historically accurate. No idea why they’ve done it as the real story should be enough to carry the program

It worked for Braveheart.
