The R.I.P. Thread

Colin Powell, the first black US secretary of state, aged 84 years.

Nearly ex Wolves manager Walter Smith has passed away. Always seemed like a good guy.

Igor Kirilov aged 89, he was the voice and face of Soviet media, reported on everything from Sputnik launch, to the fall of the Soviet Union, their equivalent of David dimbleby

So soon after Una Stubbs, Michael Aspel must be shitting himself

8 folks at a music festival in Houston who were trampled during a performance last night.

Also remember him as Tony the Tiger (in Married to the Mob...).
Quantum Leap was fantastic, the ending was

I don't remember the ending really, the theme tune was ace though

The ending started a bit weird...

FW de Klerk, the last white president of South Africa. A somewhat chequered legacy. Yes he released Mandela and brought South Africa to a semblance of true democracy but he was committed to apartheid for most of his career before getting the presidency. Being a bit better than Viljoen and PW Botha is not a high bar.
