One of my favourite books when I was a kid, also The Dogs of War and the Odessa File.

Saw the Beach Boys at the Gaumont about 1969.

Absolute legend of music. A proper pioneer - I was fortunate enough to see him live at Glastonbury in 2005. The atmosphere was unreal.
