The R.I.P. Thread

Guitar player from 2 of my favourite 70s bands.
In my 1st year as a student (76-77) "feel like making love" and " can't get enough of your love" were constantly on the jukebox, but tbh both songs were nothing without Ralphs guitar. Bad Company were just a little too "poppy" for my liking.

Lalo Schifren 93, composer, probably best known for the mission impossible theme tune, other tv theme tunes were
Man from uncle,
Starsky and Hutch ( but not the one youre thinking of that was season 2, season 3 and 4 were different again)

Film scores included,
Cool hand Luke,
Bullett,
Kelly’s heroes,
First three Dirty Harry films,
Enter the dragon.

Fun fact, the Mission Impossible theme tune is MI in morse code.

(Maybe everyone knew that already)

Didn’t know that but told my Mrs as a bit of trivia but she tells me it’s nonsense as the notes are the same length (staccato) they are just closer together.

I don't know if that's right, but the fact is also right. I suspect it's a pub quiz question where people may always disagree

Basically, if he intended to use Morse code, he did it wrong. The sheet music has all the notes the same lengths. So he hasn’t “put in two dashes and two dots”. He’s put in 4 dots.

it does spell out Morse and not Endeavour. Morse's first name isn't known until the Remorseful Day, which wasn't written until at least ten years into the Morse tv show.

Fair enough, I just remember the papers going on about the last episode revealing his Christian name, and the clues had been in full view all the time in the theme tune.
I’m claiming Mandela effect as a defence

Me too. Just mentioned it to the Mrs, didn't know what I was on about so showed her this (she watched about 30 seconds then said 'don't you watch some shit')

Apparently he died in October. Tripitaka actress died in 1985 aged just 27 of Leukemia and the Sandy actor died in 2020 aged 71. Masaaki Sakai (Monkey is still around).

Burt Kwouk, Miriam Margoyles and Andrew Sachs provided some of the dubbing
