We're now on 79 goals for the season.

We have a minimum of 12 games remaining (obviously more if we get past Olympiacos and then beyond).

Can we do it?

Incidentally we have now played a full "Championship" length season and our record is:

P46 W21 D15 L10 F79 A50

78 points... Play offs? ;)

Only one team has ever missed out on 78 points.

Take a wild guess who that was.

Correct (our own fault tbh for getting gubbed a combined 0-12 vs Derby, Forest and Brentford in November of that season)

By the way, it'd be quite good to re-watch the whole of Matt Doherty's "performance" vs Michail Antonio in that Forest game and then watch him today. I'm still not entirely sure it's the same bloke.

Do you have a breakdown of the goalscorers by an chance DW? Sure Raul & Diogo will be leading and fairly sure that Coady bloke is on nil, but would be interested to see the rest

Jimenez 22
Jota 15
Doherty 7
Traore 6
Dendoncker 4
Neto 4
Neves 4
Cutrone 3
Saiss 3
Vinagre 2
Bennett 1
Jordao 1
Boly 1
Gibbs-White 1
Jonny 1
Moutinho 1

Plus 3 own goals (Crusaders, Torino and Chelsea)

Instinct at the moment is we'll fall just short.
Beat Olympiacos however, and I think we would do it.

Thanks for that. Very clearly Willy Boy is due a couple before the end of the season...

told you we had been shit in November

I see we're right in the middle of the PL table for headed goals. My gut feeling is that we always score slightly fewer headed goals than average

Four of our last five goals have come from low crosses to be fair. A fair more effective way of attacking than crossing it aerially in my opinion.

Yeah, City score dozens a season from cut backs. Arsenal used to as well when they were good, once upon a time.

Weve had a few headers ruled out due to var, plus doc has missed/hit straight at the keeper a few sitters that he would have made last season

Aubameyang, clearly not a fan of the low cross.

I think you’ve pointed out how we prepare in the warm ups for games, where we have the wing backs/wide forwards running onto the ball and delivering cut backs/low crosses
