The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Obviously not as I just fuckin stated as such!

But the first part "the door is blocked" hardly holds true when they second part is if the price is right he's gone.

Fuck know what irrefutable means though as with RAN it was hardly market value!

It's just so dull and predictable...

The market value is what clubs are willing to pay. Do you really think that if the club thought a bigger offer would come in that they wouldn't have waited for it?

Hard to say as they didn't wait in the slightest did they?

But if you need an example that's recent then you only need to look as far as Bryan Mbeumo don't you, unless I'm missing something...

Porto might have a bit of money, but they’re not offering much for Gomes - I’d guess at £15m absolute tops.

Which we wouldn’t sell for.

Bullshit story, for me.

For RAN? It was Man City, yes i absolutely do think they'd have made a bigger offer, it could still be going on now we should have squeezed and squeezed, instead we sold him as soon as the window opened for 4 million less than what Ipswich rejected for fucking Omari Hutchinson!!

Then there is what we paid to Angers.

Pathetic.

The flip side of Mbeum though is that Brighton sold Estupinan today for £17mil to AC. He had pretty much been their starting LB the last few seasons and only 27, seems he also wanted to leave and the club weren't blocking that. Hence why it probably also seems low.

There are unique parts of every deal.

Man City are rich as fuck, no doubt, but that doesn’t mean they’ll just wildly overspend their valuations. They’re not stupid.

As much as Villa and Newcastle want to break the super 6 monopoly it’s just not sustainable as things are. Reality is the best players still prefer the super 6 clubs over anyone else whether that be club size or location.
Newcastle is a great city however it’s tucked up far away from everyone else.
Forest fans thinking this is the norm for them are going to a severe reality check very soon.

Dude.....i could argue with you in multiple ways here but I'll just say this.

They bought Nunes off us for 45 million.
More than that, wasn't it around £53 mil?

Added to that Nunes is a good example, City came in with a lower bid, Wolves rejected it, they then later came back with a higher offer and he was sold.

But then we agreed to buy Beuno from one of their clubs though...balances out.
