Welcome to Wolves Jorgen Strand Larsen

No. It would be completely illogical for either party to enter a loan with obligation without a contract already negotiated.
Of course a wage would have been agreed, but i'm saying as soon as he banged in 14 goals for us he and his agent would have said that they want a better contract at that point.

Unless you're saying that the trigger for him and his agent pushing for a better contract was Newcastle being interested and not actually the scoring of 14 open play goals in 35 games.

Also your theory suggests that we agreed to pay him £75k a week when we first signed him on loan from Celta :ROFLMAO:

To clarify, what i believe happened is, we agreed a salary when we came to sign JSL on loan, his agent and JSL will have got an improved salary as he exceeded expectations when he came to sign formally after the loan, and he got an increase to 75k (which is fair enough), THEN Newcastle came in, and he got another improved deal which will be somewhere between 75k and the £110k that Newcastle offered.

And that is why it doesn't sit right with me.

However this is football now, and my points about Wolves getting bullied stands, and there is plenty of evidence of it.

Keen's comments on the podcast re. JSL were very strange.

He said the injury was 'legitimate' but then claimed Larsen 'probably could have played' if the Newcastle transfer talk and then contract negotiations weren't ongoing for the games against Everton and Newcastle.

I can understand him missing Everton as the window was still open and it might have fucked with his head a bit. I don't agree that it should, but I can get that.

But Newcastle away is a different story. If he could have played, he should have played!

Judah even said 'once that happens (the new contract), or if it's very close to happening, we'll see JSL back in a Wolves shirt very, very quickly'.

That implies Larsen has been acting up big time.

Or them pair of dipshits are creating headlines for hits. We all know Keen and Judah know absolutely fuck all that goes on at the Wolves and repost stuff from other journo's.

But they're not creating headlines. It's hidden away in a podcast and they're doing enough to cover the line that he is injured.

Creating headlines for hits? In comments during a podcast?

You have absolutely no evidence for this.

It's not unprecedented for players and clubs to seek improved terms after an impressive first season, usually after the transfer window has shut.

It is unprecedented for improved terms months after already improved terms have been agreed.

You believe whichever scenario you want to. I know from experience that you won't alter your opinion once you've dug yourself into one of these boring circular arguments no matter how many times it's pointed out to you how ridiculous or rooted in fantasy that stance is so I won't be saying anything more on the subject.

He wanted to go. Newcastle offered more wages. He’s likely said ‘well if you value me at 60m + then I should be paid as such’

Irrelevant of whether his contract was agreed when we signed him on loan or not, it’s hardly illogical to offer improved terms.

Granted it’s shit how football is nowadays, but it is what it is.

Don't begrudge JSL getting himself a pay rise. His performances and goals probably mean he's worth more than the initial contract we'll have agreed with him 12 months ago. Where I do have an issue is if he's refused to play against Newcastle when we really could have done with him. His injury was described as "legitimate" by Keen & Judah for the Everton game and that was seemingly good enough for people on here to accept. Those two same journalists are now reporting he'll be back in the starting 11 as soon as his new big contract has been sorted, but they now apparently "know nothing"? You either believe them or you don't. They're either reliable or they're not.

Anyway. There are quite a few reports saying he's fit to start tomorrow. This will soon be forgotten if he starts and scores.

Vitor confirms JSL trained yesterday and he "hopes he can help us but potentially not for the 90 minutes".

but they now apparently "know nothing"?

Who's said that?

Their opinions are quite often terrible and they embarrassed themselves with the 'U-turn' stuff a year ago but when it comes to actual news they're fairly reliable.

What prick is going to replace Judah now. A return for the prodigal son perhaps..

Spiers got a massive pay rise from the Athletic and moved to London. Whatever he's doing for bunce these days, I doubt he'll fancy going back to an E&S salary.

You have absolutely no evidence for this.
Neither do you for what you're suggesting?

In your theory we offered JSL 75k a week when he's originally signed for us on loan.

It's not unprecedented for players and clubs to seek improved terms after an impressive first season, usually after the transfer window has shut.

I agree.

It is unprecedented for improved terms months after already improved terms have been agreed.

And this is why i'm bothered by it, because i believe that's what has happened. He got improved terms because of a good first season, (what agent worth his salt wouldn't push for that?) then he got further improved terms because of Newcastle's interest. (Again, what agent wouldnt at least try that on?)

So he'll have had a salary whilst he was on loan say approx 30-50k - an improvement on what he was on at Celta
A salary for a good first season upon signing permanently - 75k
And now a new salary between 75k and 110k because of the Newcastle interest.

You say there's no evidence for it, it's just common sense on how things have happened and based on what we do know.

You believe whichever scenario you want to. You're here yet again insulting someone who has a different opinion to you, I think you'd benefit from some self reflection to be honest.
