Wolves 2- 3 Burnley verdict thread

He was ok second half, but terrible first. It's a shit situation that that makes him stand out so much we have people calling him brilliant.

Bellegarde is the type of player Goodman and Hinchcliffe will be waxing lyrical about next year in the championship. Not good enough to impact the level above though.

Standards have fallen badly if people think JRB performance Today was brilliant.
Krejci is the best summer signing but he’s not getting a start in 2017-2020 side.
All 6 summer signings wouldn’t be considered in that era as possible future players neither would MM or JRB.

I mean he clearly wasn't brilliant anyway.

Jamie O'Hara, a deeply, deeply, deeply flawed player and character, was brilliant vs Blackpool in 2011.

Bellegarde's performance today was miles off that. He's quite good if you like players who flail their arms around like one of those weird inflatables you get outside American petrol stations and then don't bother crossing or shooting when they've actually worked a yard of space, I guess. Everyone has their own individual fetish.

Bellegarde has been here a while now, he occasionally puts in a half decent performance but there is no point trying to dress him up as anything except what he has shown. I can live with an average player if they are effective and have an impact, we have a squad full of players who are ineffective and have little or no impact.

Well try & be positive about players doing their best. Question their ability by all means.
I think most of them do their best. Sa is a liability (but possibly won't play for us again) and Doherty/Hoever are properly lazy (and get shown up for it, repeatedly).

Thing is I'd do my best if you put me out there, in a Dean Saunders batting for England way. I'd also be rubbish as I'm 44 and I wasn't any better than good Sunday League level 25 years ago. You'd be right to criticise me if I played in central midfield for Wolves in the Premier League. Even if I was doing my best.

Please don't question the support of people on here, we've been watching Wolves for decades and my family have been watching us for well over 100 years.

I see ‘brilliant at times’ is taken as ‘brilliant perfomance’. Bellegarde had a good game with occasional brilliance. It really is not that difficult to understand?

Perhaps meet up with Doc & tell him he is lazy?

Bellegarde was our best player today, and he was a 4/10. When Bellegarde is your best player then something has gone horribly wrong (recruitment). In a normal year I'd quite fancy us to get something out of the next game, but not this year. 81% likely to be relegated now according the bookies and I think that's cautious.

Have a go at the ownership etc by all means. I agree. But most of those players are trying.
Well let's take my verdict for an example, where I went through player by player.

Other than Hoever's "effort" on the second (where he didn't try, he gave up) then that wasn't the question, they either played below standard or they aren't good enough. I didn't accuse them of not trying.

In fact I don't think anyone has, in the entire last four hours.

So I'll ask again what it is you're doing here because it makes no sense to me.

4/10 is harsh?
