Molineux Extension

I'd go as high as 45,000.

It won't sell out every week but big league games, derbies and hopefully European games would. It would be a potential venue for any competition bids and we could benefit from concerts whilst the council continue to destroy the Civic.

The extra empty seats could be given to schools and have a secondary or extended family enclosures, or they could have concessionary tickets for services, NHS etc. Make attending individual games more accessible for low earners.

The expansion needs to be parallel to a progressive ticketing strategy that accepts there is a ceiling on disposable cash for the vast majority of people from Wolverhampton and surrounding areas.

Sounds pretty spot on for me this for me

Wolves have submitted a planning application for a new 500-seat stand in between the South Bank and Steve Bull stands.
A new video wall would be placed behind it. It'd be similar to the Graham Hughes stand.

The old video wall is just being moved.

Yay love good temporary stand me ha.

Any further details, seems a small space to wedge it in to me (more the access etc round the back? Will they maybe limit one turnstile off from the Southbank and access through there?)

Seems weird discussing stands, football or anything at the current time bu trying to keep at least some sort of normality, hope everyone is keeping as well and safe as possible!

Looks proper squeezed in. Would have thought it would be easier to do something in the other corners.

I didn't think they could use the other corner as it needs to be kept free for emergency access.

Couldn't they use the bit between the Steve Bull & NB?

Ah yes seen these and the other plans since seems to be a good job and certainly more 'semi perm' than 'temporary' if that makes sense. Completely replacing the Southbank turnstile block 5 to incorporate it etc.

The fact it appears to actually be cornered (not like the other one) will make for better views (not that I think the other one's that bad I know some people think it is.

Do you know if it will have a roof? Think that might be a statement that it will be there for a while.

You mean the corner there? Not without demolishing the North Bank...

I kinda meant make use of this empty space, take out the side shield up there and build in between.

No no roof I assume.

I just meant its certainly not a knock up for a season or two job, its there to do a job for a few years at least I'd say.

Read into that re the more permanent development what you will (personally don't think you can too much, its needed now and will generate additional money (pay for itself after 1-2 seasons) but would also me even more needed if development does start to help maintain as much capacity as possible while the steve bull was down.

The ambulance entrance is in that space. And would be pretty impossible to put anything of use in there if it wasn’t.

They could probably chuck a temp stand on top of the club shop if they could get decent supports Around it, but I’m not builder/structural engineer to know if that’s remotely doable without risking the club shop roof caving in...

Ticket Office?

That could be knocked down I guess and the office moved elsewhere in the stadium.

The E&S understands. Also known as it's what Spiers has been saying for months so I'd better parrot it.

I'd rather they extend the Steve Bull into the nearest dump, using a wrecking ball and a load of trucks. Shit heap of a stand.
