Reading Build-Up

Bringing Doherty back would be a horrible selection. Benefit is he links up well with Henry but that's much outweighed by his terrible defensive play.
If we believe the team I posted above then there is no Henry to link up with

Iorfa has done nothing to deserve dropping. That'd be poor man management in my books.

Real team news:
Ikeme
Golbourne
Iorfa
Price
Dicko out
Tomasz
Doherty
Hause
Evans
Sako in

I find those full back choices bizarre!

Kuszczak

Doherty Batth Stearman Hause

Evans McDonald

van La Parra Edwards Sako

Afobe

Subs: Flatt, Golbourne, Ebanks-Landell, Henry, Price, Iorfa, Dicko.

Weird. Weird. Weird.

I hope it works out. Got to say I'm fuming that Iorfa has been dropped for Doherty. What the hell does Jackett see in him?

Assume it must be something to do with playing on Tuesday as well?

Jackett makes his decisions and will always take it on the chin if things don't work out, I'd like to see Iorfa playing personally but we should always be wary of creating the next scapegoat.

That's never influenced things before.

Ikeme being injured and Sako coming back from ACON, fair enough. Price was appalling vs Bolton so swap him for Evans, understandable. I don't get the two full back swaps though, especially as Golbourne and Iorfa are clearly not injured. 5 changes might be too much.

Problem is that we're getting to the business end of the season - KJ now needs to get it right, not take it on the chin if it goes wrong. I'm baffled by Doherty for Iorfa, but playing Tuesday is all I can think of

Golbourne has a recurrence of his foot injury. Iorfa may be injured, but sometimes (and this has been the case with Evans and Doherty on a couple of occasions) young players just need a break, or to be taken out for a while. It can do harm than good to play them all the time at a young age.

20 fucking seconds. Unbelievable.
