It's hard work, I'm 4 episodes in and whilst character development is important you have to have something going on and after 4 hours not a lot has happened.

The acting is dire which didn't help.

We're about 5 episodes in, quite like it, not the best thing I've ever seen but by amazon prime standards its good imo

I couldn't get past the acting, and how it looks very expensive yet very cheap at the same time, reminds me of a daytime soap with some of the cinematography.

I've not read the books although my old mate used to rave about them, so I've picked up a copy of the book and intend to read that instead.

This may be the long game though as I am currently working my way through GoTs but only into the 2nd book, so God knows when I'll get round to finishing it.

14 books at ~800 pages each. I'm halfway through the second, think I'll skip the show, as when I started watching GoT, I gave up on the books.

It's rubbish. All the believability of David Ike.

The casting is also rubbish, are we really supposed to believe these two young lads, one inexplicably wearing a mohair jumper from the 80's, with perfect teeth, RADA accents and manicured hair are peasants?

Guess I'm a philistine, seems OK to me, I've seen worse. It's just a nonsense fantasy adventure, I don't take it that seriously

There’s a massive amount of fantasy/sci-fi made with shite acting. Not stopped a lot of them being classics - I love(d) B5 but the acting was utter tosh.
