Yes, it is well done and you may love it, it just didn't grab me the way a Scandinavian one would, but as I said that's just me recently, for example I binged 'Peacemaker' and that was just fun trash :)

sounded familiar to me and saw it’s a remake of something I started watching but don’t think I ever finished. certainly don’t recall the ending.

Quite enjoying Midnight Mass on Netflix, not what I expected at all.

 
If you're a fan of the Salem's Lot novel it's worth a watch, although the religious tilt on it is quite refreshing.
 
Binged the last half a season of Ozark today. For a series that started off as entertaining as a Bruno Lage team it’s ended brilliantly.
 
Finally finished After Life yesterday. The subject matter made it heavy going at times and nowadays I cry far too often. I know some of you said there was too much swearing in the 3rd series but it all seemed natural to me. Unfortunately the wife does not enjoy Ricky Gervais as much as I do, probably because she struggles with english accents.
 
It could well be that she just finds him toe-curlingly awful in every aspect. In which case I agree.
 
Watching something called Taxi Driver on Netflix. Intriguing to say the least. A Korean series that focuses on a small group who front as a taxi company getting revenge for the victims of some pretty sick crimes. It's bizarre stuff when the main body of it is pretty standard light-heartedness in the characterisation (think early Jackie Chan movies) but deals with some really grim subject matter.
 
I'm not a gervais fan, but thought after life was brilliant. Gervais is superb, and kerrie godliman is fantastic in her role.
 
She runs 5k every day? Yeah right.

She sounds very bitter while trying hard not to be, pointing out how great her life is and that she's got lots of other stuff she can be doing.

She's been binned based on public opinion and the fact that Riley doesn't like her (if you believe the stories). Dent will always back up Rachel too as they're good friends.

We binge watched After Life last month being very late to the party. Thought it was brilliant, typical Gervais in that it wasn't about belly laughs but humorous and poignant in equal measure. Looking at the office he was working in and comparing it to The Office plus the scenes with Postman Pat (Joe Wilkinson) were very funny, especially when he asked to use the bathroom and ended up having a bath!

Some scenes were necessary but a bit too poignant - giving someone money so they could kill themselves is not your typical comedy. But other moments were laugh out loud funny.
 
It was very well written and I find that RG's comedy is very character driven and all of them contribute rather than relying on the main character. Like The Office, they are all brilliantly created and casted and play a big part in the enjoyment. I thought Sandy was very much like an Office character with her uncomfortable looks to camera as she tried to make sense of it all. Brian was very funny too as were Tony's exchanges with the fat ginger kid!
