Wolves look awful when they waste time.
So many yellow cards for it this year I'm wondering if they outnumber those for foul tackles.
Sure all clubs do it, but I get a feeling we are the worst perpetrators.
What about adding a minute to play as penalty instead of a yellow card ?

Just have a timekeeper like in Rugby League and a clock everyone can see so they know when it has been stopped. Take time keeping away from refs and the rest of their decisions might improve too.

I take it you didn't watch the Brentford game at Molineux last September? Yesterday was payback, pure and simple.

We’ve been an honest side since before I can remember & we’ve lost out on points/goals because of it more times than I wish to recall.

I’m not a huge fan of the silly play acting and diving etc - but I’m all for us giving certain clubs a dose of their own medicine. I’m still laughing this morning at Thomas Frank spontaneously combusting at the final whistle yesterday. Serves him right.

Jose Sa may have got booked yesterday, but his shithousing was top level.

And there we have the cause of the Molineux fire...

I do think the broader point is accurate, in as much as our time wasting isn't subtle, it's players feigning injury rather than taking time out of the game swapping throw in takers or drying the ball. I'm not sure we waste any time in reality hence the amount that gets added at the end of the game. I guess there's an argument to be made about stopping the opposition gaining momentum.

No complaints about it yesterday through, they got what they deserved

As a general principle I hate time wasting, injury faking and general shithousery as it detracts from the main event.

However, whilst teams can glean an advantage I wouldn't want wolves to give up any advantage.

I was reading about the idea of making games 60 minutes but the clock stops whenever the ball goes out/play stops (basketball style). Would basically completely stop time wasting but not sure how it would affect the general spectacle

I didn’t even think we were that bad at it yesterday! Other than Sa obviously. Chucking the ball to the penalty spot on a goal kick pretending it was a FK and then moaning about it for ages to waste even more time was fantastic.
In the ground it genuinely didn’t seem that bad even if they did cry about it a lot

As others, I don't like shithousing in any form but unfortunately you don't get any advantage by not doing it. Tbh I only really watch full games when it's Wolves but from what I've seen were no worse than any others and there are worse e.g. Brentford, you only have to look at the stats of how long the ball is in play. As for feigning injury, we are actually penalised for Traore staying on his feet and breaking through tackles/fouls.

How easy was it to sit on your hands and what was the general atmosphere towards the actions of the Wolves players. Covering the game for Fivelive was Alistair Bruce Ball and he happened to cover the game earlier in the season. He stated something along the lines that any complaints from the Brentford fans were a bit rich due to the actions of their own players at Molineux.

Yeah but they're just a 'bus stop in Hounslow' and 'little ol Brentford' so they're seen as plucky and just doing what they have to do!

I agree, their moaning yesterday was very rich given their antics at Molineux

We're not very good at it, to be frank (no pun intended). Probably cost us a point against Liverpool.

I certainly wouldn't glory in it, it's a necessary evil to an extent but nothing to be proud of. You'd also think Jose Sa would have learned about faking injuries when the ball's in play but evidently not.

Honestly, the more I think back to the home game the more I'm loving what we did yesterday and the tears of the clowns taste so sweet. Just wish I knew some Brentford fans.
You could always laugh at Natalie Sawyer online I suppose. Genuinely the only Brentford fan I can think of.
