Hi all,
I will be taking on the beastly Velo Birmingham this year. 100 mile organised cycling event in order to raise funds for charity.
The news of Carl Ikeme's diagnosis was, obviously, a huge shock to us all so when I saw that there were spaces available to ride for Team Cure Leukaemia it felt like the least I could do to show my support.
The event is on 24th September and will be the longest distance I've attempted by a good 20 miles in what is my first year of serious cycling. I never thought I would be even considering this kind of distance at the start of the year, so it's safe to say it's going to take everything I've got to complete it!
Please take a look at my Just Giving page and donate if you can - https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/william-machin
Cheers,
Will
