Bloody hell, that’s come around quick.

I’ll go for Palace away - a fixture that literally no one other than the fans of both clubs will be bothered about.

I'll go with Bournemouth at home first up

Luton will get a sky 6 side, seems like every year at least 2 promoted sides land one of the big boys
I'm going for Rob Edwards gets to manage against his former team (but which one will be his former team at that point...)

Luton at home. They’ll be away first game to give them as much time as possible to get their ground sorted.

Man City away.

Cock-eyed optimist.

My lack of enthusiasm towards the current state of Wolves means I’m not even particularly excited about the fixtures coming out. Cheers Fosun.

Yeah, we're only on our longest run of top flight football (and haven't ever been in a proper relegation fight, this year was closest and we were more or less safe just after Easter) for 50 years.

It's not all rosy in the garden but FFS, this isn't like the fag end of the Sir Jack days where we were an uninspiring Championship team going nowhere with no money to spend, or a mere decade ago when our first two home games were against Gillingham and Crawley. Perspective.

Hopefully we get a reasonable early run so we don't sit in the bottom 6 in trouble from the off. Should help with transfers a tiny bit if we get off to a good start under Lop too.

That was the issue last year. A very, very gentle start (as much as it can be in the Premier League) and we squandered it with late transfer business - albeit we shouldn't have even bothered with Guedes - and having Lage take charge of all those games. By the time we sacked him we'd wasted that run and put ourselves bang in trouble.

I doubt either will apply this year.

And again, this time last year I felt far more pessimistic as I hated the manager.

Oh, I know this is WAY better than most of what I have had to put up with over my Wolves supporting life, I'm just a bit frustrated at the moment. I think the excitement of the Nuno era has spoiled me!

Our owners are a bunch of arseholes, ticket prices are ridicuIous, I probably wouldn't care if half the team left and I'm still not entirely convinced by the manager (who may or may not want to be here anyway). Having said that, I'm sure I'll be full of misplaced optimism by the time the first game of the season comes around.

I guess I'm just a bit disillusioned with football in general at the moment. I think I'm turning into a miserable old grump!
