Barnsley 1 - 3 Wolves: "And we didn't have to pay 15m for this one!" Verdict Thread

No Costa, no problem.

Ronan seemed at the center of everything. Something truly exciting about hearing the youth make such an impact.

Good win. In really good form atm.

6 wins in 9, should be 8 in 9 looking at QPR/Wednesday in that sequence.

We're looking like a top six team but we are just a bit too far back sadly.

Considering we have won a few games recently we don't seem to be climbing the table much?

Seasons a write off but would still be nice to be higher than 16th!

Don't forget how bad we've been in midweek games this season either, great win without Costa.

Beat Burton on Saturday and we could go 12th

Excellent win, especially after Saturdays exploits and without our best player, looking forward to reading the reports of attenders. Liked the look of Ronan after seeing him on U23 highlights....getting quite excited now with him, Costa, Cav, Bright and all the other kids who've broken through, still some to come maybe

Edwards robbed of his first career hatrick by Hause?

According the the BBC, this is the first time we've had back to back wins in all competitions since January 2016.

Not true, beat Crawley/Reading then also Blues/Cambridge in August and also beat Forest/Bristol C last month and Stoke/Villa this month

If we win 8 in 9 going forward things will be interesting!!

We've closed the gap to sixth from 13 to 11 points. Still no chance of getting to the playoffs, but the good news is that we're now completely out of the pack at danger of relegation and are comfortably competing with the mid-table sides who are actually chasing an outside shot of a playoff place - our actual position hasn't changed because we've been keeping pace with the people above us, rather than those below us. With our form noticeably ticking upwards we should start to see a move up in places too. A couple more solid wins (and we should really be beating both Burton and Wigan in the next couple of weeks), and we could be on the edge of breaking into the top ten, we're only six points off it as it stands.

EDIT: I don't know about anyone else, but for me it's starting to feel a lot like our first season back in the Championship under KJ in terms of momentum. The difference is that that year our form recovered before Christmas, not after, so we had enough time to catch up, goal difference notwithstanding. We realistically need another 40 points from our last 18 games, and that's just not going to happen this year, sadly. But after being in the cautiously optimistic camp about Lambert, I'm now completely sold. Can't imagine how angry Norwich fans must be.

A great result to follow on from the cup victory. Things are definitely on the up.

Barnsley were 7th before tonight's game.

Superb win for us. We are doing great away from home, let's hope it continues on Saturday.

Wow, full blooded championship game!

It had everything, 2 red cards (Mowatt and the Barnsley manager, both deserved), 4 goals, a pen that was given and then overturned and a goalie who carried the ball put of his area by several yards and barely anyone noticed (certainly not the officials!).

Connor Ronan played very well as did Bodvarsson, Hause and Edwards.

Have been out & only back in for the last few minutes of that - very good result as going from a high at Anfield to a wet Tuesday evening at Barnsley is not necessarily an easy thing to do

Reading through various things seems that Bright & Ronan did us proud & Super Dave does what he does (well this season at least)

Lambert praising Hause, glad he is getting an opportunity again. He was bloody brilliant on Saturday as well.

If this is the moment Hause makes the left CB slot his own then I'll be delighted - we do have a great prospect there, and if the season ends with us not needing to keep Williamson or Stearman any longer because of his form then that makes planning for the summer even easier.

Now we just have to get Iorfa back to his best.
