Good, no idea why it's taken so long.....I mean I realise it makes them look foolish but, well, that was already a known.
Just reading our local fb page and there have been massive queues at petrol stations in Newport, Telford and Bridgenorth...assuming its the same everywhere......gotta love the Great British public.
 
Queues onto the main road up here from half 2 and still ongoing.
I've seen someone up here say "I'm not panic buying, I'm just getting fuel now because other people are panic buying"

So, you're panic buying
 
Texaco on Stafford road had a nice big queue when I went by. Blocking an arterial route to the ring road so that’s nice. Fortunately I have a nice little independent I use out near Four Ashes for my fuel. Quite out of the way and not many know about it so I feel no urge at all to panic buy.
 
There is plenty of fuel in the same way as there was plenty of bog roll. It’s the idiots panicking that causes such shit. Fucking fools.
 
We are British and independent of thought. You tell us not to panic buy then you can absolutely guarantee that we are going to panic buy. You'd think they may have learnt their lesson there. Well actually no, you wouldn't would you?
 
As shared in the ref thread, took around 40 mins from joining the queue to get a full tank ready for our Cornish holiday tomorrow. State of people.
 
Wonder what the excuse (would say plan, but it's the government) is if foreign drivers say " nah, we're not going back to the uk to work, you hate us" , I'm guessing the government think the drivers are already en route to the ferries ready to go Monday morning and save us

As long as they arrive via an Eastern port so that they can pick our Autumn fruit and return in the same direction before Xmas to pluck our turkeys all will be grand

Sadly in a lot of people's minds it does. I have a mate who isn't particularly interested in politics but he likes Boris "because he's different, he's a bit of a character". Sad but true. Hopefully at the next election Labour won't give people like him the comfort that they can justify voting for him "as the alternative is the IRA sympathiser Corbyn".

I'm not a Trump supporter at all, but I think I'm of the view that Labour need a name to break through the soundbite wall. Someone like a Gary Neville. I know that's not going to happen and probably shouldn't, but it's the only way I can see them cutting through to Joe Public who just don't seem to care or take on board how incompetent this lot are. If there's an election tomorrow, in a year, 2 or 3 Johnson walks back in against anyone in the current Labour Party

We live in times where the cult of personality rules. Tragic really. I know the Labour candidate for one of the Nottingham seats at the last election and he was a Corbyn supporter and was convinced that if he spoke to people and explained policies in detail they liked what they heard. Sadly that will never happen. The best we can hope for is probably Andy Burnham who seems to come over better than any other mainstream Labour politician.

One hates to reply to oneself but hey ho. That post above was on my way for a swifty at the Western after work. The queue was about six cars out of the garage.

On the way back the queue was across the roundabout and blocking the entrance to the McNasties drive in. Chaotic.
 
just fetched mrs jelly from work. went past 2 petrol stations. queues at both. One relatively short, but the other chaos, streaming across a car park and into the street around an island. absolute madness.

Andy Burnham looks like leadership potential whenever I hear him on TV.
Loads of experience under different leaders, big fan of the unions and socialism.... could be a perfect fit for the post Brexit era of discontent.
 
Always been a Burnham fan and wanted him to get the leadership years ago
