Take a look at Spain for a great example. You often see the highest growth in economies which have been ruined in recent years...

Freedom from what?
We fought hard to leave the EU and many tried to overturn the democtic vote to leave the EU and now we have a Labour government who was completely against Brexit, only in power because it embraces Brexit.
From where I am standing, it makes me immensely proud to be British and proclaim that Leeds is definitely in the UKand not in the EU.
There were lies on all sides, but today we are a free nation and when my body is put to rest, I will die knowing that the British people chose to be in charge of their own destiny.
Nobody, but nobody who was asked where they lived prior to 2020 said the EU. Just another in a series of your straw menWe fought hard to leave the EU and many tried to overturn the democtic vote to leave the EU and now we have a Labour government who was completely against Brexit, only in power because it embraces Brexit.

The only time being from the EU came up was at an airport.Nobody, but nobody who was asked where they lived prior to 2020 said the EU. Just another in a series of your straw men
If that's the best answer for Brexit i don't know what to say.We fought hard to leave the EU and many tried to overturn the democtic vote to leave the EU and now we have a Labour government who was completely against Brexit, only in power because it embraces Brexit.

The amount of damage and cost to the country so people can spout utter bollocks like this is insane.
For what it's worth, I started out as Leave because I thought there were advantages to leaving such as saving the money we send to the EU, making our own laws etc (urrgh) and then I looked into it and could see the downsides outweighed the good.
I also work in a regulated industry and know first-hand how much of a ballache implementing any legislation actually is. My first question was whether we'd need to implement GDPR or not, the firm i worked said Yes because they still want to trade with europe so need to be compliant - so guess what? We still today follow all the regulations put down in EU law so that we can trade. So there are absolutely no benefits because we still have to comply. You then look at how much our legislation and EU are intertwined and how much that would costs to undue and you start to realise the size of the challenge ahead.
So the question then becomes, what's the cost / benefit to all of this? The benefits are still not clear to me other than patriotic, nebulous rubbish. And then worst thing? The people who voted for it aren't going to be the ones who have to fix it.
I'm done
Leeds voted to remain. That's not very democratic given.
We got to vote on EU laws? Isn't that a democracy? The benefit was always going to be, we vote for people who make the decisions, in the EU, we were tied to decisions that were imposed on us. It was always about democracy for me and always will be.
We democratically voted on the decisions of the EU, with elected representatives. We also had a power of veto if we wished. The benefit was always going to be, we vote for people who make the decisions, in the EU, we were tied to decisions that were imposed on us.
