Only problem with that is defining what a risk group is - reality says that you can only put crude arbitrary ages/conditions in that & they do not define the real risk to individuals is.
I am capable of defining the level of risk to me (& in the short term probably wouldn't attend an environment such as a PL game), but it's my life & my choice
I did some analysis using ONS, and some NHS data.
Under 65 with no underlying health conditions there is between 0.5% and 1% of dying.
Once you get over 60 it increases gradually from 3% - 10%.
Mainly because your more likely to have the underlying health issues that make COVID-19 more dangerous for older people.
Underlying health conditions include
Heart Disease
High Blood Pressure
Immuno deficiencies
Obesity
Alzheimers
Dementia
Any respiratory issues.
I believe that all those in the at risk groups ( they have received letters from the Government) I know cos My dad is in extreme danger and recieved the letter, should be forced to Isolate.
Anyone under the age of 60 should go about their business as normal and ensure the economies are protected.
The Reality is if you are a healthy Male or Woman, Black or White under 60 your as likely to die of Flu.
No one stays in the house scared of being run over, or scared of catching Flu, yet everyone is stuck in the house panicking.
Obviously it would be tough fornthe elderly and at risk they would need to have shopping delivered they would need to be in total isolation, including no Care Home Visits, Hospital Visits etc PPE protection in said institutions would need to be perfect to protect the elderly.
I have been labelled heartless, and a Nut job because I pointed this out, but more people Die from Smoking related illnesses, Alchol Abuse than those under 60 and healthy have died of this.
Yet we still have pubs and sell alcohol
