the challenge for hunt is going to be how he funds the tax cuts he wants to make. More unfunded cuts will lead to a truss style market meltdown. Thus if they do want to fund a giveaway, they need to explain how it can be sourced. Scrapping non doms, and vaping seem to be the main 2 options here.
The alternative is a tax giveaway, and further cuts to services, without saying what these actually are.

You have to ask yourself why somebody would put so much personal money into retaining their seat, and what he gets from the job for that to have an ROI, even if it's from the opposition benches

Hunt poised to freeze fuel duty in budget boost for drivers……is one of the headlines on the front page of the Times tomorrow.

The devil is in the detail though, and this will come as a shock to all of us, fuel duty has not gone up since 2011. Interesting to see if the arseholes carry on including it in future tax income statements as rising in line with inflation like they currently do. As with social care, childcare etc etc it’s another can and budget black hole that’ll have to be fixed by the next government.
