The Film Thread

Last of Us season 2 is fantastic
I thought it was a lot slower than season 1. Some shocking moments and some great drama, but they seemed to be fewer and far between the slow bits. Last episode ended on a cliffhanger but we now have to wait until 2027 for season 3.

Watched Locke again last night, excellent film.

Though I appreciate it's probably a bit marmite.

Excellent cast, although you only see Hardy!

The Legend of Barney Thomson

Daft and silly but it's cracked me up. Not often I actually laugh at films.

Watched the first 30 minutes of ‘The Thursday Murder Club’ film on Netflix this evening (will watch the rest tomorrow). Love the books, like Richard Osman, incredible cast - I have high hopes.

From the first half hour I’ve summarised that it very much has a Midsummer Murders/Jonathan Creek vibe about it.

Some will love it, others will hate it.

Watched this tonight. Enjoyed it

I might have been looking for it too much but aside from towards the end I don't think the charm hit that well, felt a bit too cheesy instead

I enjoyed it too - but was frustrated with how they portrayed Bogdan & the male copper.

Cracking cast but felt a bit slapstick and rushed towards the end. Hopefully the do a sequel!
