Just watched the documentary commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Bradford fire disaster featuring survivors and relatives recounting their memories of that tragic day.
Very interesting programme but so sad hearing the stories of those who experienced it.

What's in on mate?
It did happen a few times as mentioned in the documentary - Brentford and Norwich are 2 I remember them saying but I think the difference was that they didn't happen during a match with supporters in attendance. I certainly couldn't remember any of the others they mentionedI've just watched this and it's heartbreaking. The speed the fire spreads is absolutely terrifying.
It's also a miracle it didn't happen anywhere else before this tragedy.
Thanks for the heads up, will watch that one tooITV also have a six part documentary. A couple of episodes on their YouTube channel. Presume the rest can be found on their ITV Player

He was playing that day and if I remember rightly he got tickets for a couple of girls who didn't make it home tragically.

Like you said, it is terrifying how quickly it gets out of control. Every one seems to realise far too late just how serious it is.
