The NFL Thread

Mahomes, Stafford, Rodgers and Brady all have more yards and TD's than Allen and Herbert and Burrow are in and around his numbers too.
Allen is now 2nd in TDs behind Brady. Also leads the league in combined yards.

You can pick whatever stat you like to prove a point. He's only 17th in pass completion percentage for instance

That was my point. 12th in QB rating as well, although I'm not a massive fan of that metric as it favours dink and dunkers too much.

I stayed up late to watch my lot against the Cowboys. I chose poorly. We are shite.

Covid killed their momentum. 4 wins on the spin, went into Philadelphia undermanned and season has gone from there. Browns and Ravens in similar positions.

It's an interesting example for those who want games to just go ahead in the PL

NFL has become a bit of a farce. Colts having their entire OL out and then backups aswell in such a specialised position. Had players off the practice squad who had never even played a snap. Against a decent D they struggled and it dilutes the quality.

You certainly are. I know a lot of Americans love Riverboat Ron but he's essentially the Steve Bruce of the NFL.
David Moyes is a better comparison, IMO.

Most games in NFL history with 300+ pass yards and 50+ rush yards:
1. Steve Young 8
2. Josh Allen 5
T3. Mike Vick 4
T3. Russell Wilson 4
5. Cam Newton 3

Players to have 34+ Passing TD & 4000+ Passing Yards in back-to-back seasons (NFL History):
Josh Allen (2020-21)
Tom Brady (2020-21, 2011-12)
Drew Brees (2008-09, 2011-13)
Peyton Manning (2012-14)
Aaron Rodgers (2011-12)

List of players with 100 pass TD and 20 rush TD in their first 4 NFL seasons: -
Josh Allen
End of list

But yeah, Bills are gonna move on from him... 😂🙄

You're jumping the gun by about eight years if you're trying to compare Allen to the likes of Rodgers, Brady, Manning, and Brees.

Allen still has to prove he can do it January and February. So far, he hasn't.

Where did I say I'm comparing him to any of those HOF QBs? I'm merely pointing out the absolute absurdity of your bullshit nonsense post saying the Bills are willing to move on from him. You can't see how utterly wrong you are, fine. But I will keep coming back and telling you you are totally wrong.

He's only 25. He's improved every year. And he has won games in January in the Playoffs. He beat the Colts almost single handedly last year, and then beat the Ravens. He has shown he can win in the post season, and will win plenty more times. You are talking out of your ass.

Are... are you serious?

I've said it once already, if he plays up to his contract then it's a non-issue. But all those regular season stats haven't translated to championships for him yet, and that's what a QB making his money will be judged on.

And for the love of god, I'm not saying that he can't go out and be the guy you think he is.

Antonio Brown quits on the field which is just bizarre.

MVP Allen throwing 3 interceptions and killing his team against the defensive behemoth that is the Falcons.

Brown is toxic pit of a human.

The man certainly has issues.

Cooper Kupp hasn't been mentioned yet in MVP consideration on here and he should be.

Phenomenal performance, only Jerry Rice has better total numbers.

Brady and Burrow continue to be better than MVP Allen.

You're hilarious. Truly, a dazzling wit of the ages.

Anyway, Taylor or Burrow MVP.

Fair to say, I didn't expect Philly to have made the play offs with a week to spare when they were 2-5. Only beaten bad teams and QB's, since then and will be 1 and done, but a season of progression and 3 1sts in the draft to come

Hurts looks a good QB (Watson lite) and the running depth looks promising.
