The "What Could Have Beens"...

Would Parkin have been better if he had played out his career at RIGHT back?
His original position (and ironically became left back after Bobby Thomson moved to the blouse), but was more than comfortable at left back. A truly class player.

I also had major love for Michael Branch in his first six months here. Looked a right bargain at £500k. He was still alright after that, I saw him get applauded by all sides of the ground at Barnsley in Oct 2000 or so. Then DJ thought it was a good idea to turn him into a right winger.

I remember that night at Barnsley, first time I'd ever seen a standing ovation from the opposition fans for a player. Branch was just about unplayable that night.

IIRC one of the scorers that night was another player who briefly flattered to deceive - Temuri Ketsbaia.

Could we put Milijas in here? If we'd played with three in central midfield we could have minimized the fact that the pitch turned into quicksand wherever he went.

We did play him in a three a fair bit in the second half of 2010/11. He was still largely underwhelming.

Did we? I was under the impression we played a 4-4-2 almost exclusively under Mick.

Ah well. He still got that goal against Bolton, I s'pose.

When we actually played some decent football he was much better. So in 10/11 the two runs of form we had with him playing deeper too I thought we looked a better team.

Still, never mobile enough or good enough defensively sadly. I did like Nenad though, I was really excited when we signed him

Milijas always struck me as like a specialist American Football kicker - bring him on for free kicks only

Darren Roberts (no, I'm taking the piss a bit now. Decent debut mind...)

Don't think I've ever seen that. Not been to many games other than Wolves tho heh. Would be good to see

David Johnson got clapped off by all four sides at Molineux on his Ipswich debut. We decided signing Mixu Paatelainen that summer was a better idea.

Also Jay-Jay Okocha and Teddy Sheringham down here when they played for Hull/Colchester.

Also when Kenny Hibbitt returned to Molineux as assistant manager of Bristol Rovers, he received a standing ovation from Wolves fans as well as Rovers fans.

Remember Okocha getting an ovation. Such a brilliant game at Molineux, pure class

I would say more than a ovation...it was a full on hero worship.

Former players are a different bag. Paul Cook always got a good reception down here (as befits one of the most overrated Wolves players of the last 30 years...). Backfired a bit once though when he was on the bench for Tranmere, Graham Branch came on with a similar mop of black curly hair and he got clapped on by the South Bank. Good work lads.

We couldn't get the ball off him. Ridiculous.

That was also the game when I decided that Freddy Eastwood was shite and it wasn't going to work.

Modeste Mbami - due to sign for us then, I think, Willie McKay shafted us, and spirited him away elsewhere.
