Tottenham 1-1 Wolves: Verdict Thread

I’d say 5. Get us somewhere near 1 PPG. Sunderland have a good tally but aren’t great. No reason we can’t stink out a draw or steal a win. Then just win one of the home games. If we don’t then probably just pack up now
As we saw last season it can seem like it's completely done, and then we got 18 points in a few weeks, and its not even October yet.

Spirited for sure. I thought Tottenham were terrible but it was encouraging how we worked.

Andre was head and shoulders above anything on the pitch. Insulting that the manager had picked fights with him.

Santi Bueno was excellent. And Krejci is clearly a very good footballer.

We lack quality in the final third but I hope that Arias will improve and Larsen will looks sharper soon.

Real shame to concede that late goal.i question the Toti sub. It seemed to throw us off, we would have been better off putting Rodrigo on to be a nuisance I think

How do you summarise that. I have to start with the obvious, Spurs were absolutely diabolical. But not to take away from that we also earned every inch on that pitch. However how they can call themselves fans is beyond me - that was the most pedestrian support of a club I've ever seen.

Johnstone has to be our number 1 now, he gave the defence confidence I felt. Abga needs a complete rest from the team, wonder where Yerson was today. Hwang is awful but for the first 15 he offered something very very briefly but otherwise disgraceful. A really good team effort otherwise with some surprisingly good performances after the obvious. JSL could've been hooked slightly sooner otherwise the changes we're generally good. So disappointing to concede at the end, Spurs deserved nothing from that. I'm still shaking my head that we haven't won that.

Yeah and the squad has no opportunity to be fixed until January and i have no hope it will be.
I am not saying we are definitely staying up, but to be as sure as you are in September and using last season for a comparison doesn’t stack up yet.

Vitor's first game was December 22, and we looked absolutely dead and buried then.

Currently we are 3 points from safety with 96 points left to play for and a transfer window too, there are just so many variables at the moment, and that doesn't change if we win next week or lose next week.

Started decently until Tottenham have a goal disallowed, after that we were on the ropes for a while before getting back in the game. Second half we've done well to score and defended pretty valiantly until the veeeeery end when Tottenham have scored a quality finish - it's a good point.

Johnstone was retty solid and inspired confidence, keep him as #1 over Sa.

Krejci is good on the ball, looks like we found a decent player. Reads the game well and was active in keeping the defence organised which seemed to have a really positive impact on Santi Bueno who had a really good game. Best I've ever seen him play. H Bueno was OK but it wasn't a coincidence that Spurs targeted his side. Needs to close down better.

Andre and Gomes were quality. I don't think the ref should have carded Gomes, I get why he came off but we missed him when he was gone and lost the midfield battle. So much hard work winning the ball from the pair and getting it forward but anything going up was wasted.

Attackers - thought all of them were rubbish. Arias is lightweight and too slow, didn't do much after 20 mins and his set piece delivery was generally bad. Don't rate him and don't know what he's good at. Hwang and Munetsi aren't good enough, which we already knew. Neither of them can control a ball. Strand Larsen was isolated and not very involved. Arokodare was feeding on scraps as by then we were mainly sitting back but he did well to drive forwards and stretch play.

It's a tough one because of the late goal but I think we can take lots of positives. I liked four at the back although I get why he changed to five for the second half, the flexibility is good and I would like to do a back four more. Agbadou was a bombscare, don't want him to start. Tchatchoua meanwhile looked much much better. Don't really know what we do about our forwards as I don't see where goals come from at all but the draw is a foundation to build on.

I never really thought it was done last year though as we didn’t have a bad team and there were other bad teams. We do have a bad team this year and I can’t see other really bad teams (there may be some).

It was more reference to the 6 out of 6 anyway. We’re sadly not going to play 6 basket cases in a row this year. Probably won’t play 6 all season.

Last night has given us a bit of hope where there was none beforehand.
Fact remains we’re still winless this season and rock bottom, no clean sheet still averaging over 2 GA PG.
Need something next Sunday v BHA, yep tough fixture but that’s what you need to you can’t keep putting off the win because the fixture is a bit hard.
I’m hoping they’ve finally become at least harder to beat and doing the basics well.
If you can at least do that it will keep you matches more often than not.

Hwang has got a higher rating than Andre on Google :D

Banning myself from looking at those again
