Wolves 1-3 Leeds: Verdict Thread

I like Nuno to much to put him through coming here plus I wouldn’t want his good reputation here tarnished. We don’t have the squad to save ourselves we bit of far more than we could chew this summer.
The replacements look less than sub standard personally

Fuck them. Hit them in the pocket. Can’t want them out if you continue to buy shite from the clubshop and a pie and a pint in the ground. They’re not getting a single penny out of me.
I'd say the same, but they've head a shite load out of me already.

Sa
Johnstone
Bentley
Doherty
H Bueno
S Bueno
Tchatchoua (early but he looks fucking wank)
Hoever
Chirewa
Munetsi
Bellegarde
Hwang

Deutsch listed this rabble and you know what's frightening about that lot? We sold a minibus load this summer and that minibus load are still here.

We've spent a £100mil and look exactly like a newly promoted side...a poor one at that!!

I currently have no intention of going to a game. I don't like the team, I don't like the atmosphere, I don't like the pubs and I especially don't like the owners.

Let's see them beg me to pay a "bargain" £550 or so to watch us play Preston and Millwall next season.

Leeds turn up with a bunch of journeymen. In 2023 I still cannot believe they scored 4. Today I cannot believe they scored 3. WTF!

We're rubbish, one good move to get the goal and then didn't have a single shot on goal for the rest of the half except one blocked from Gomes.

Team has no identity, it's a rabble and all of the players we have got are either not good enough or not what we need. Agbadou's drop-off is shocking, he looks terrible - and without him Pereira's track record on signings is utterly appalling. Sa, Toti, Tchatchoua and Agdabou were particularly bad but except Gomes and Krejci (kinda) I thought everyone looked like a bad footballer today.

Leeds weren't particularly good, the first goal is proper lower-league stuff. Then got done on a free-kick where from the NB Sa looked clueless with how he was dealing with the wall and preparing, unfocused, you could tell he was going to let in anything that would go near him. And the third goal on the counter again, it's all from our errors. They do manage the game well in the second half but defending against clowns like Munetsi can't be that hard. Toothless.

Fans pretty restless/hostile around me. All points to a pretty pathetic season and embarrassing relegation at the moment.

The only good thing about today is the happy clappers who keep telling me and others that we're not that bad will wake up and smell the coffee.

Sa. Just awful. I was sat in the far end of the Billy Wright and could see exactly what was going to happen with the free kick. I said to my mate "Sa's going to stand behind the wall and the balls going his side and he won't get to it"! Not sure he made a save - again - and his long balls rarely went anywhere near where he was presumably aiming them.

Rodrigo and Bueno. Tried hard, thought Rodrigo was unlucky to be subbed. The most telling thing about them is they are ahead of Wolfe for whom we paid good money, seemingly pointlessly!

Tchatchoua. Like the kid at school that everyone thinks will be good simply because he's fast, he's the proof that pace alone is not enough. He wasn't even that quick in the second half when he was clearly knackered.

Toti. Standard Toti. Good moments defensively but the most uncomposed player I've ever seen in possession and that's never going to change.

Agbadou. Unbelievably bad, time after time. How he wasn't subbed at half time is a complete mystery.

Mosquera. Pick of the back three, but the bar is a sheet of graphene off the ground. I hope he's not badly injured.

Gomes. Works hard but yet again we were overrun in midfield.

Bellegarde. Anonymous - again.

Krejci. Most composed player in a Wolves shirt. There's a player in there but he's not going to make much difference given what's around him.

Lopez. Silly yellow and tried but on the odd occasion he got possession every gold shirt seemed to hide behind a Leeds player.

Tolu. Better at holding the ball up than JSL - not hard - but miles behind Calvert Lewin at leading the line. I'd be surprised if he gets 5 goals this season.

JSL. Barely involved.

Munetsi. Worked hard but missed the two opportunities that came his way - to nobody's surprise.

Andre. Brought a little composure but he wasn't going to change anything.

Overall we were outfought and outplayed at home by a relegation rival. We have no clue how to progress the ball upfield. I don't think there is an answer but sticking to the current formation is madness. The three CHs can't defend, the midfield gets overrun and we create next to nothing. I think it's clear VP is a fire fighter not a team builder, perhaps the answer is to sack him and immediately reappoint him to sort out the mess he and Shi have created!

Usually I’m more positive than most on here. But that was abysmal.

1st goal, no pressure on the cross, not challenge on DCL and Sa doing the Hokey Cokey

2nd decent free kick. Need to see it back to see what Sa was doing with the wall etc

3rd shocking by Agba

2nd half just looking for knockdowns

Defensively we’re a mess. What we’d give for semedo at RWB now. Massive drop off in the middle from Gomes and Andre (no clue what’s going on there) hasn’t helped and probably enhances how bad we are defensively.

We have no one who can carry the ball now RAN and Cunha have gone. Lethargic, no real patterns of play.

We’re a really poor team currently, and not sure how with the current set up that’s going to change

Where will be in 5 years, see Swansea, Stoke, Albion etc for your examples.
Fosun will become ghost owners who we rarely see or hear from see Blackburn for examples.
We won the jackpot in 2016 but then our owners pissed all up the wall and took us back to our mediocre existence.
Oh we aren’t coming back anytime soon. Not with these owners

Insultingly bad. If he hadn’t been given a contract yesterday (FFS) we’d be discussing him having a job by Monday.

The squad might be shit but he is doing just as shit a job.

Looking forward to being told we competed again though.

Come on YW you’re better than that. By me saying we’ve competed last week i never said it was good enough but more that we could/should be doing better and it was on Vitor to do that.(Appreciate it doesn’t always come across well on a forum) We both know there’s issues behind the scenes but there’s still enough in this squad to win games like today for example. Leeds were no better than us but my god the goals we give away. Have to agree that it’s all on Vitor ultimately because he played Agba, brought on Munetsi and made Andre an outcast.

I was hopeful after last week that we could turn it around starting this week but after watching that today it’s going to take a miracle if the manager thinks that’s an acceptable way to approach a home game against what is essentially a Championship team. That being said, i think if Johnstone plays today we don’t concede 3 and if anyone plays instead of Agba we don’t either. Totally understand he’s the one picking them though.

Krejci into the back three and André back into midfield is a must.

No idea what you do with the keeper, they're all fucking shocking.

It wasn’t specifically aimed at you (I genuinely didn’t remember who it was that used the phrased competed but apologies nevertheless), we had enough people saying last week saying we weren’t that bad etc in games which we evidently were.

I’m extremely worried that you are accurate about Johnstone. What a state of affairs

Well Krejci looks like a very good footballer wherever he plays. Andre should be playing but he’s fallen out with Jeff and Vitor too.

I agree all the keepers are poor but Sa has regressed so much he’s worse than both of the others somehow.

Ahh i know it may not have been specifically at me but i think just make the point, it’s a good one. I think the digs at people for differing opinions are killing the forum which is a shame, no big deal though and certainly no need to apologise.

I think it’s more we’re not worse than the teams we are playing for me but we’re still managing to lose. Sa is so bad now we definitely don’t concede 2 of them with anyone else in goal.

You know I just tried listing a "better" XI in a 4-3-3 and inadvertently put Krejci in both defence and midfield.

That's where we are.
