Wolves 2 - Watford 2 a full blooded contest verdict thread

This image, doesn't show context, but could be claimed does show Sako's hand in the vicinity of his face. We all know it didn't happen in an aggressive way, he was pushing their bloke away, but this could be used against him if the desire is to support the fat twat in blue

That looks like the point that Forestieri planted his push to Sako's chest, with the latter having just got off the floor after being flattened. Sure that it doesn't really show any aggressive intent from Sako.

As soon as they see a real time video of the incident rather than individual stills (which can be selected to show what you want) then cannot see that there can be any other outcome other than the red rescinded & the ref demoted. (then again I'm a Wolves fan so not necessarily as unbiased as I could be)

Just looking at their stances tells the story. Sako is leaning back, away from Forestieri. Forestieri is leaning into Sako. It's CQC 101 that the aggressor must be leaning toward his target to create significant impact.

Sakos left arm is out wide in a "what!" position and not in an aggressive, attacking his face position

They won't base their decision on a freeze frame.

I wouldn't put it past them tbh

The referee should have admitted his mistake, and there would have been no punishment apart from maybe a week off. However if the referee stands by his decision and the commission finds the case in Wolves favour, then he may well be asked to explain his actions.

So, the ref doesn't have to admit he's wrong for it to be overturned anymore.

Frank, how long does it normally take for Kenny's objection to be heard and a decision made?

It's usually fairly quick isn't it?

It will be heard and decided tomorrow lunch time. We will know at some point in the afternoon

Cue forum meltdown/smugness/we only get shit refs rants...

Michael Oliver refereed Man U v Arsenal tonight and showed the rest of the refereeing fraternity how to do it right.
Top marks.

If the red card stays I think we will be seeing the mother of all cyber meltdowns. It gets removed and it will be a standard cyber reaction.

He did very well with dealing with the diving

He did very well in what must have been a very intimidating atmosphere, there seems a lot of arrogance within that United club which makes life difficult for officials.

It's way past lunch time, and the tumbleweeds are blowing through this forum.
What's happening? This is almost as bad as the wait for the 2nd avalanches album!
