From last weekend (and some mid-week)
Nasser Djiga - Rangers (SPL)
Played full game in the second-leg 1-1 draw at Panathinaikos. The result put Rangers into the next qualifying round (Viktoria Plzen) and he played two full games in that tie, too, helping them to a 4-2 win on aggregate. They face Club Brugge in the play-offs next.
In the league, he played the full game in their league opener, a 1-1 draw at Motherwell. Playing RCB in a back four, he earned praise from fans online for his pace and positioning.
However, he only went and got sent off in the following game, another 1-1 draw, this time at home to Dundee. He got caught out high up the pitch and clipped the legs of the forward to get a straight red on 65 minutes.
Tommy Doyle - Birmingham City (Championship)
Started the campaign with just 13 minutes at home to Ipswich in a 1-1 draw.¡
Made the first XI for the 2-1 EFL Cup win at home to Sheff Utd. Played 67 minutes in a no.10 role against his former side.
Nigel Lonwijk - Luton Town (League One)
Made his league debut with 67 minutes at LWB for Luton in their 1-0 win at home to AFC Wimbledon.
Was benched for their next game, a 2-0 win at Peterborough, but came on in the second half in which they scored both goals. Seemed to have switched sides to, er, RWB.
He also came on as a second-half sub in a 1-0 League Cup defeat at Coventry, but at least seemed to be in his preferred CB position.
James Storer - Greenock Morton (Scottish Championship)
Helped Greenock Morton through to the knockouts of the Scottish League Cup by keeping two clean sheets in three games in the tournament’s group stage.
He followed this up with another shutout on his league debut, a 0-0 at home to Dunfermline. In this, he pulled off a string of great saves, the highlight being
this one from a free kick. Next, he helped his side earn a 1-1 draw at Partick.
Arthur Nasta - Hornchurch FC (National League South)
Made his debut in a 3-2 home win vs Weston SM.
