There probably won't be any developments for a little while. Wyness is suspended and they'll go through due process there, whatever it is he's supposed to have done. Oddball Tone can't afford to employ a new CEO even if he wanted to, so it's his show and he'll be lying low for a while in all likelihood. They've reached some kind of an agreement with HMRC for now, and the next lot of payroll isn't due for over three weeks.
Some low key sales to follow - looks like Gollini has gone for around €4m, which helps them a tiny amount with both FFP and cashflow assuming Atalanta are paying up front. There's probably a deal set up for Carles Gil too, but it won't be for much. Reports are that Elmohamady, Jedinak and Whelan have been transfer listed which is all well and good, but none of them are likely to attract a fee, no-one in the Premier League will want any of them and very few other Championship clubs are going to want to pay them the same as they're on now.
Any big news this month (unless our Twitter loving friend decides to go crazy, and you never know) is likely to be one of the following:
1) Grealish/Chester for going below market value
2) Bruce leaving - I don't know why Leeds would want him, but that is the word today
They're in a serious mess, but they're set for a more tranquil week or two than this one has been. In all likelihood that is. We don't know what they've been up to, if you'd asked me a week ago if they'd been likely to have cashed in future transfer revenues in advance, called for an advance on parachute money, would be failing to meet bills, would be looking at selling pockets of land around Villa Park, I'd have said no. But now we know that all that actually did happen.
