I don't think Scotland report vaccinations over the weekend, maybe Wales don't either.

Edit. 225k yesterday and 298k on Saturday so it might just be Sundays they don't report

Got a message from the local committee then they heard there were “lots of appointments at Millenium point today” so if anyone HCW hadn’t already had it then you could easily get it done on the day.

But I think all the people who are going to have it have had it and it’s not well advertised. So it seems supply is fine but they’re not actually maximising Capacity.

Gunna stand up for the authorites here, vaccine rollout has been fantastic so far, its inevitable there will be some hiccoughs with supply and other issues.
The deaths is horrendous, was expecting something like that figure but its still makes your heart sink when you read it.

My dad has been offered an appointment at Millennium point. Getting him there isn’t a problem but the possibility of queuing and waiting makes it less appealing so he’s waiting for his local GP to get supplies.

As for the death figures a study should be done about tier 2 for London / the south east post lockdown and the subsequent cases/deaths as a result.
Just seen the latest report from the Royal London Hospital and it’s frightening. 12 out of 15 floors used for Covid patients.

Thankfully the number of cases are dropping. ZOE app has the R rate back to 1 (0.8 in some areas).

Only issue on vaccines is the 12 weeks between jabs. Just got to hope there is some strong science behind that call rather than a desire to hit targets.

The other day when the vaccine targets were accidentally released by Scotland it had a potential of everyone having 1 jab by July. That would be an insane achievement. The extra bonus on those figures were only based around the vaccines we have approved. So chuck in the 2 that are close to being put forward and the vaccine roll out will be flying.

That's good to know, I've also heard (not sure on the veracity of the claim) that the focus is on the smaller homes with over 80s with less occupancy so it stands to reason the numbers might be lower than usual IF this is true
