Cheese was a just a few weeks.

I wasn't a spicy food man anyway but my tolerance is really low at the moment.

My smell and taste came back in a round 48 hours with no side affects of food tasting differently - I didn't take 60mg of zinc per dsy but I did take some (scientific proof that it worked, obvs).

Interesting reading about the smell of smoke sensation some of you guys are having. I’ve had this on and off (started pre-Covid) for about 3 years and it was driving me nuts. Would be sat on the sofa and you’d get that strong waft, like when you’re in a pub, when someone stands in the doorway having a ciggie and the wind blows it back in. Can remember instinctively shutting the back door on a blisteringly hot day because the smell was so strong just wrongly assumed a neighbour must’ve been having a bonfire.

Hadn’t seen or heard of and other ’smoke sensation’ references before. Mentioned it to the doc once who pretty much shrugged his shoulders. All a bit bizarre.

mrs jelly lost her sense of taste and smell in summer 2020, but at that time she had no other symptoms. Only lasted a few days. Was mental for her though, as she has a phenomenally acute sense of smell.
Middle step daughter lost her sense of taste and smell for over 8 weeks at least. Haven't seen her much to discuss in detail. Do know she isn't vaccinated mind (part of why we haven't seen her much tbh, nne in her household is).

What counts as "chili" over in the UK?

U-turn on mandatory jabs for NHS and social care workers incoming

Basically the same shite as over here, then.

My wife tested positive on Friday after having symptoms since Wednesday, presumably getting it from my son who tested positive on Monday. I'm still symptom free and negative. Is this common?

Yes.

My two youngest tested positive, my wife tested positive twice on lateral flows but the PCR test game back negative and despite scraping my throat and nostrils each day for two weeks I stayed free of it.

similar to my experience.
we suspect our typhoid mary was stepdaughters eldest. He brought it home from school.
He visited us one saturday (we suspected he wasnt'well that day - difficult to assess, he's autistic, non verbal, numerous learning difficulties etc).
He tested positive (LTF) that evening.
stepdaughter tested positive monday morning His dad also.
my wife started feeling ill tuesday. Was testing daily anyway. first positive test was wednesday.
I didn't test positive til the friday - the same day as typhoid marys sister did.

Sounds familiar. My daughter had it for a week, as soon as she cleared up my son got it last Sunday followed by my wife last Wednesday. All showed symptoms and returned a positive LFT on same day. My little lad only had symptoms for 24 hours, he's then been absolutely fine but tested positive for 8 days straight now. Amidst all this I've avoided anything. I did get a bit concerned about a weird smell this morning, but happily my wife just pointed out I hadn't emptied the bins. That sorted it.

I'm obviously guessing they will all be clear for the Norwich match just as I get struck down...

Anyway, good luck TT.

I'm currently in departures at Liverpool John Lennon. Hardly anyone wearing a mask here, CSA and at check-in, those doing so are probably 50+ years old.
