Bolton build up

Bolton 3-0 down to Rotherham at half time...

We need to be beating this shower.

I'm sure the 4 days before they play us will give them sufficient time to get the Divisions best defence for 90 minutes

Charlton 5-0

Happened after these two matches.....mind ya, we didnt help our cause.

I guess the only difference between those 2 and Saturday is the new manager effect.

If we play in front of them, not looking to either pass through or get behind them and just hope for something to happen like Saturday then we'll be our own worst enemies. Bolton's home form is very good though.

Oh $#@!e the two teams we played recently got bollocked the game before we played them then we played out two boring uninventive 0-0's. Surely not again

I'd take 0-0 now. ;)

So... why exactly do we hate Bolton?

Mainly because of this twat

Play off semi '95 battered them at Molineux, but only won 2-1. A geriatric Peter Shilton played a blinder. Losing 1-0 in the second leg, then this happened. He then went on to score the winner. (Although away goals counted in the play offs then, so we still would have gone out).

The Premier League was more of a level playing field them, with the money SJH would have invested I believe we would have established ourselves in it. Never forget Bully close to tears in front of us on the pitch at full time.

Bolton still parade him out every time we play there.

Seems to me we should be more upset at the ref and McGinlay himself, but I won't pretend I don't understand the vitriol.

So... why exactly do we hate Bolton?

Because they're a two-bit nothing club with that !##@ McGinlay, cheating referees like Kevin Lynch, smug self-satisfied fans, slimy chairman, they stole our Premier League place by cheating... Need I go on?

There's only two clubs I detest - Bolton Wanderers and Birmingham City, for very similar reasons.

That McGinlay incident was almost twenty years ago. Really, it's time to let it rest.

No, that drive home from notlob in 95 genuinely feels like the end of my chidhood, we were royally fucking screwed by a bunch of despicable fucking cheating cunts. Seemed like the end of the era of wolves going somewhere too, after that we got bogged down in a shite division. There fans were fucking scum too, was not nice walking out of there.

Some of you really need to get over your Bolton hate. It can't be good for you.

Although what happened in the mid-90's still hurts today, the fact is the way that club presents itself absolutely disgusts me. I hate their ground with a passion - everything a football ground shouldn't be, with commercialism so overbearing, two tunnels (WTF?!), ridiculously steep seating in the upper tier, it's next to a sodding retail park (I know that's not unique but I believe they were one of if not the first club to do that). Basically, they constantly spit in the face of traditionalism and no doubt view their fans as customers before they think of them as supporters (which again isn't unique to them, but the way they do so doesn't sit well with me).

Then you've got the aural AIDS spouted by pricks like Gartside who wanted a closed shop for the Premier League, getting rid of relegation so they could continue spunking millions on utter shit just to stay afloat in the big league.

And that is the main reason I can't stand them. It just so happens that my intense dislike of them is enhanced by 1995, McGitlay, Sneekes, Lofty the cunting Lion, Uriah Rennie, Owen Coyle, Mark Davies, last minute winners/equalisers denying us vital points, cheating, gamesmanship, atrocious decisions going against us.

Victim complex? Maybe, but combine all of those negatives together and it's very difficult not to look at Notlob with the same feeling I get when I see a steaming pile of dog shit on the pavement.

So... why exactly do we hate Bolton?

The reasons above and the fact I was out with my two boys in Darlington, which is about 115 from Bolton. There we are minding our own and my youngest is wearing his Wolves shirt (he was about 8) and a fully grown man in a Notlob shirt stands in front of him saying "Wanky, wanky, wanky, wanky Wanderers" and "You're not the real Wanderers" and other such shit. If I wasn't with my boys I'd of swung for him but because of that and the McGinley thing which was about the same time I really can't stand the fuckers

They stopped us doing the double in 59/60, and I remember my Dad and Uncles swearing about them then, calling them the pigs trotters, always got their noses in the trough and playing dirty.

We started in the League with them in 1877 so how far back this goes I don't really know, you'd have to ask a football Historian, but its not just a recent dislike.
