That's how the men's game is turning out.
I know it's not the same level technically, but when I watch the women play, there's almost none of this fucking about cheating, holding the game up for 5 minutes when a blokes arm has brushed his face... give me a fucking break you cheating fucker.
Although it's not to the same standard, it's a bit more naive, the women's game is often better to watch.

RAN started LM with Toti at LB.

100% was a back four when we conceded with RAN at left midfield. It was 5 at times up until then but definitely more of a 4. We massively got caught on the goal with our shape and it was wise to go back to the 5.

A lot of people on here, me included, say you don't really appreciate the game properly on TV, so if those there say that's what we did it's difficult to argue without being contradictory

Pretty sure GON said on MNF that it was fluid between a 4 and a 5 in and out of possession and made reference to the fact “Rayan is so flexible we know he can do both jobs” or something along those lines. Would have to go back and listen to it to know exactly what he said

Having a liability at right back and a centre half at left back isn’t the best way at judging our suitability in playing a back 4.

FWIW it probably doesn’t suit us in many games regardless of personnel.

Toti has played most of his career at LB, and Doherty in fairness to him is not a RB and was playing with an injury.

Aside from that, our PPG with 4 v 5 is significantly beaten by the latter.
