Currently watching The Long Shadow, based upon the book Wicked Beyond Belief which I read years ago about The Yorkshire Ripper.

Excellent so far, very authentic 1970s backdrop.... rampant sexist attitudes...

That's filmed in Yorkshire in 2023...

The reckoning the Jimmy Savile drama with Jimmy played by Steve Coogan is pretty good, he’s got the creepiness down to a tee, some Alan Partridge mannerisms and the accent slips into Paul Calf sometimes but I’m enjoying it.
BBC 1 9pm tonight and tomorrow and next week, or download the lot off iplayer.

Turned it off after 15 minutes as it was too unpleasant for to watch.

Part way through episode 2, fair to say it doesn't show the creepy old fucker in a good light but that's to be expected! He was a deeply unpleasant character, not just his paedophile tendencies but also a nasty, manipulative bully. If the show is accurate even his beloved 'Duchess' didn't like or trust him

Coogan is absolutely terrifying in this - it's an amazing performance. The underlying menace he portrays is so disturbing.

He's mesmerising. Really chilling to watch and the rest of the cast are fantastic.
