Disappointing to concede right at the end like that (great finish tbf) but I'm more heartened by the performance after we looked an absolute rabble last week. Maybe there's some hope, we need wins of course but that looked like a team again rather than a collection of 11 random footballers.

Johnstone: Has to be #1 now, a) because Sa is shite and b) because he's actually playing quite well

Doherty: Yeah, he's not very good is he. Hope we don't see him again

Krejci: Very steady today, nothing stand out but he's a good footballer

S Bueno: One stupid foul aside, his best game for us? Had a 20 minute spell where he looked like peak Lescott!

H Bueno: I don't like him, never got near Kudus in the first half and just allowed endless crosses in, should have made it 2-0. Wolfe to have a go there please

André: A club like us should never be leaving a player like that out of the team

J Gomes: Bullshit yellow card (as per) and then we have to take him off. Thanks ref. But he was good

Arias: Quite an odd player, he isn't really a winger, I wouldn't play him up front and he isn't really a #10. But a good performance, there's something to work with.

Munetsi: Won the ball quite a lot but we all know he has zero quality on the ball

Hwang: Dreadful, again, please do not pick him

Strand Larsen: No real opportunities but I thought he held the ball up better than he normally does and worked very very hard

Subs:

Tchatchoua redeemed himself after last week's horror show, Agbadou defended ok but is still a nightmare on the ball (how has this happened), Tolu looked decent

Let's hope we can build on this.

Props to VP. Thought the subs and the switch to 5 atb was meh but clearly the correct decision.

Half time came at a good time for us, as spurs were in the ascendancy. 2nd half we were far the better team, and feels more like a loss. Nonetheless definite positives since this time last week.

Only players who were poor for me was Hwang. Bueno not great but not awful. Everyone else did there jobs. Can’t work out arias, never man of the match. Tidy but unspectacular? Santi Bueno best game for us silly foul aside. SJ surely secured no1 for now.

Absolutely gutted to concede there as the confidence was visibly returning to the players when they were leading. Felt like we were finally going to win a game until that wanker Palinha equalised.

I hope the lads don't let their heads drop as it was a great performance in the second half and shows that they can compete, this away to a Champions League side.

Hopefully we can build on this and start to improve now the players are settling in.

I bloody love Tolu, what a beast he is!

It’s clear the players have a bit about them and are playing for VP, unlike that numpty in the studio

As mentioned by others - seemed plenty of fight left in the old dog. Fuck knows what happens if VP goes, so let's hope they can keep the spirit going and get 3 points asap.

Snap reaction: awful to concede at the end after such a transformation at half time. Dan's already made most of the key observations I was going to make. The only real issue second half (other than conceding, obvs) was that corridor of doom between Agbadou and Johnstone when either of them had the ball. Agbadou looks bereft of confidence on the ball. Krejci did his best to keep his head up.

Anyway, something positive to work with, even though we really needed three points.

Absolutely gutted to concede that close to the end and as I said, this feels like a defeat. We needed to score a second when we were on top and their fans were all over them. You just knew they’d always get that one chance at the end. Decent finish, but so undeserved.

Santi Bueno was superb, as was Johnstone. Both deserved a clean sheet.

Really felt for the lads at the end - they looked gutted, but hopefully tomorrow, they’ll be able to reflect with some pride at the performance. That’s your blueprint, minus Hwang, moving forwards.

Agree with all of this bar it "feeling like a defeat" - not for me.

I wanted us to resemble what we were last season - tough, organised, with a clear plan and playing some decent stuff. And I got all that. 1-0 or 1-1 doesn't change that.

I have a bit of hope now where I had none this time last week as we looked fucking wank in every single department.

A lot of positives from this game. I get excited when Tolu comes on!
As the bloke said in the studio, no one saw that equaliser coming from Palinha… good goal, but still a bastard.
I still get nervous when Wolves play from the back, but they did ok today.
